Tom laughed along with Bill, "Zwillingcode? I didn't know there was such a thing. Und ja, you are a bitch or you can be one. Sometimes."
Reaching into his pockets Tom pulled out another cigarette, lighting it quickly. He'd decided not to justify his beating on Bill because really, there was no reason as to why he hit him. Sometimes he just had the urge to punch Bill. It was always out of love though.
Turning his mind to Andreas, Tom frowned. He knew for a fact that he was avoiding Bill. He'd always known that Andi had a crush on Bill but had never told him. He hadn't wanted to be the cause of both his brother and their best friends' heartbreak. He had always felt that it wouldn't work between the two. Andreas had trouble dealing when Bill left. Despite the fact they they too were best friends, it never compared to what he and Bill had, so it had been hard on both of them. Tom sighed, completely lost in his memories. "You're just going to.. ignore him? Andreas, that's going to kill him!" Tom looked at his best friend, his eyes wide, he couldn't believe what he was hearing! "I know, Tom, I'm sorry. But.. just don't tell him, please. I need to forget. I won't be able to if I keep in contact. I don't have a chance with him Tom, and it's been years. I'm so sick of this." The blonde haired boy sighed, looking at Tom with sad eyes, "Please Tom, don't tell him. I don't want him to be angry. It's better he just thinks I'm.. I don't know." Sighing, Tom rubbed his forehead, "He'll be angry either way, I mean, eventually he'll figure it out. He's not stupid." "I know Tom, but please, I will get on my knees and beg if I have to. Don't tell him." Andreas looked at Tom with pleading eyes, full of regret. "But if he does get it out of you, tell him why. Maybe it'll make it easier for him to understand.." Tom closed his eyes. His best friend wanted him to lie to his brother, something he rarely did. "Okay, I won't tell." Andreas smiled a small, weak smile, "Dankeschön." Pulling himself out of his thoughts, Tom looked at Bill. He registered the hurt in his eyes. Despite his promise to Andreas, Bill always came first and he debated telling the truth, quickly deciding against it in hopes of sparing his brothers feelings. "Ja, I don't know about that. When we spoke he didn't mention anything so I assumed you two were fine."

Bill took a deep breath and laid back down on his back, reaching for Tom's cigarette. After grabbing it he took a nice long drag before holding it out for Tom and exhaling slowly. He glanced at Tom out of the corner of his eye, noticing that he seemed to be lost in thought. He quickly closed his eyes. The first image that came to mind was her, after shoving that away, Andi appeared. Bill opened his eyes again, not wanting to think about anything. He turned his attention back to Tom.
"You're lying." He stated flatly. He didn't know why Tom always seemed to think he could hide things from him.

Tom swore under his breath as Bill stole his cigarette. He swiftly snatched it back from him, inhaling slowly as he watched him stare at the sky. “I’m not lying. I wouldn’t lie to you.”
Giving a small yawn, Tom grabbed Bill’s binder, unzipping it and going through his stuff. Most of what he found was notes, some work sheets, and old assignments. Then he came across what looked to be lyrics, scrawled messily in their native tongue. He pulled the sheets of paper out of the binder, setting it down next to him as he read to himself. As he finished reading, he looked at Bill, waving the papers around. “What’s this?”

“Liar,” Bill closed him eyes, deciding to abandon the Andreas issue. He’d just get it out of Tom later. He heard a soft unzipping sound and immediately knew Tom was going through his stuff. He always went through his stuff and has never found anything interesting.
For a few minutes Bill was able to lay in silence, he was just starting to drift off when he heard the sound of papers in the wind. His first thought was that Tom had taken out something and it was now in the process of blowing away. He quickly opened his eyes, only to find Tom waving some looseleaf around. His eyes widened, “Oh that, it’s just nothing..” he trailed off, snatching the paper from his brother.

“Ja? Nothing, eh? Looked to me like lyrics,” Tom laughed, he’d known exactly what was on the paper, he’d just hoped that Bill would tell him what they meant and who they were about. He had to admit, they were beautiful. He smushed his cigarette into the ground as his expression turned serious. He looked at Bill, “Who’re they for? Are they for this Danni kid?”

Bill blushed and frowned, feeling his heart ache, as his brother laughed at his lyrics. He was glad he hadn’t shown them to Tom himself. There had been many times when he’d felt like calling him up and singing what he had to him. Bill knew he’d always been the more emotional of the two, he liked being a twin more than his brother, cherished what they had. The thought of having to live without Tom made him sick.
He shook his head slowly as Tom questioned him about who. Bill looked down, making sure to avoid his brothers eye as he spoke, “No, they’re not.” At this point, he was really hoping he wouldn’t catch on.

Tom watched Bill frown and wondered what he’d done wrong. He always felt terrible when he made Bill feel bad, whether it was right away or later, the guilt always came. Maybe it was because I laughed… Scheiße. He debated apologizing but shrugged it off, Bill would get over it. He reached up to pull the elastic off his dreadlocks, letting them fall around his shoulders. Sometimes he wondered if he should just cut them off, then he’d remember how little effort went into them.
He watched Bill, waiting for a response. Tom noticed that he was avoiding eye contact and it hit him like a slap in the face. The lyrics were about him. His eyes widened and he looked away. “I wasn’t laughing at the lyrics, I was laughing because you said they were nothing when, clearly, they were lyrics..” Tom cut his rambling self off, it was his turn to blush, “They’re about me, aren’t they? About… us....”

“No. Maybe. They don’t have to be. They just came to me.” Bill whispered, still looking at the ground. He reached out, picking up a rock. He turned it around in his hand as he sat, debating whether or not he should explain. He looked up, and upon seeing Tom’s blush, decided he would.
“It’s about our relationship,” he whispered, “You know, as twins. It just means like, I guess, that I couldn’t.. wouldn’t want to live without you. There’s no way I’ll ever have a connection to anyone like I do with you. And I just realized how creepy that sounds.” Bill laughed nervously, throwing the rock away.

Tom sat in complete silence as he listened to Bill defend his lyrics. Smiling, he caught Bill’s eye, “They’re really beautiful, Bill. When you finish, you’ll have to give me a copy, I’ll write something on guitar to go with it.”
((sorry it's so shitty, my minds dead today =P))

Bill smiled, he could hear the sincerity in Tom's voice and he felt proud. Even though he was only younger by 10 minutes, there was still that older-younger brother mentality between them, and Bill was always looking for praise from his older brother. "When I finish, I'll sing it and you can get idea of how it goes. I'm kinda stuck though. I've been working on them for a while and that's as far as I've managed to get... but, I have some ideas for the next verse...." Bill stopped himself, realizing he was rambling. He looked at Tom and handed him back to lyrics, "Do you think I should keep the part I scribbled out?"

Tom sat in silence, wondering how long Bill was going to chatter on before he could get a word in. He turned his attention away as another good looking girl walked by. He tuned back in to Bill's rambiling just in time to hear him ask about his lyrics. Taking the paper, Tom read it over a couple times, trying to decide, "Ja, keep them. It doesn't make any sense without it. But after 'Doch wenn wir gehen,' you should have something like.."
Tom bit his lip as he thought. He knew there was something missing, other then the rest of the song of course, but for this particular verse.. He sighed, taking a deep breath. Out of nowhere it came to him, "dann gehen wir nur zu zweit."

Bill raised an eyebrow at Tom, a look of disbelief plastered on his face. Did Tom really just help me with lyrics?! Bill shook his head, he must have heard him wrong. Tom never helped with lyrics, no matter how much Bill would beg, it never happened. The fact that it was for this song, of all songs, was what shocked him most. He'd been positive when the words first came to him that Tom would have called him some over-emotional freak and never spoke to him again. He quickly glanced back up at Tom, the disbelieving look still there. "What?"

Tom laughed at the look on Bill's face. He knew exactly what was going through his head. Grinning, he spoke slowly, "dann. gehen. wir. nur. zu. zweit. Do I have to spell it out for you?"
Looking around, Tom grabbed Bill's binder and opened it quickly, looking for a pen. He grabbed the first one he saw and started scribbling on the page in front of him. He wasn't so good with words, but for some reason he had some good ones coming to him now. He screwed his face up in concentration, completely ignoring everyone. When he finished he handed the paper back to Bill while reciting what he'd written, "Ich höre wenn du leise schreist // spüre jeden Atemzug von dir // Und auch // wenn das Schicksal uns zerreißt // Egal was danach kommt // das teilen wir."

Bill gave Tom a skeptical look as he took the paper from him. His pouted as he noticed that his once neat sheet was covered in brother's messily scrawled writing and arrows pointing this way and that. As he listened to Tom speak, he couldn't stop the small smile that formed, the lines were so simple but so.. sweet was the word he was leaning toward, but he'd never used sweet and Tom in the same sentence before. Looking up, a big grin covered his face, "Aw Tomi, you're not an uncaring, emotionless freak!"

Tom watched in silence as Bill looked over the sheet, wondering if he'd made a fool of himself by writing what he had. It was slightly sappy but he couldn't help himself. When it came to their twin-connection, whether he liked to admit it or not, he was really just a big sappy baby. Upon hearing Bill's words, Tom rolled his eyes and laughed, "Fuck you."
