Holly walked from the park, back to the school, after talking or aruguing with Reagan. Holly felt heartbroken about Liam not liking her more than a friend, she knew she would never really get over it, especially when he liked her best friend.
Her love for art only lead her to her comfort area, the back of the art classroom, where she would continue the project she had been doing.
Her project was to develop any piece of clothing, she choose to design a corset for herself and her theme was burlesque.
She walked into the back storage cupboard and found her almost finished corset attached to a maniquin. She pulled it out into the empty classroom and over the next two hours she managed to finish her project. Her corset was a bright green colour with black lace and other black details, she loved it. She was so enthused in what she was doing she temporarily forgetting about Liam and Reagan.
She was happy with her finished project and slowly pulled it off the maniquin. She wondered if she should try it on..after all she made it for herself.
She walked into the back cupboard again, it was quite spacious so she had plenty room. She slowly and carefully changed into her costume. She placed her corset on, did the hooks, buttons and ribbons. she put her short black school skirt on with it and her black fishnet tights.
She dragged the long length mirror out of the cupboard and placed it against on of the walls, she wanted to see herself in the light because the cupboard was too dark.
She walked out in her costume and examined herslef in the mirror. She felt really sophisticated and special in her outift. |

Dakota had just got out of lunch. She had art next period, so she decided to go in early and sit down since she didn't really have anything better to do. She opened the door quietly and peeked in. She didn't see anyone, so she walke in. "Oh." Dakota jumped slightly when she saw Holly and said "I'm.. Sorry. Do you want me to leave?" [/center] |

Holly was trying to fix a ribbon that had come undone on her outfit when she noticed the door swing open with a slight creak. She turned around to see a girl walk in that she hads seen in a few of her classes, she didn't really know her much but she was always willing to give people a chance.
"No, you don't have to leave. you have as much right be be here as me. I was just finishing up my project anyway" She said with a cautious smile

Holly felt a little stupid standing in front of a mirror wearing...well not a lot. She tried to fix her skirt that was falling down, she was sure it used to fit her.
"Hey Dakota" she said with a smile
"I'm Holly"
"How have I been? she asked with a slight laugh
"Let's just say it's complicated" she said a bit quieter

"Details?" Dakota asked, turning towards her. "I might be able to help." She studied the girls outfit and grinned slightly. "You should add a little more to the skirt."

Holly knew she was going to ask about her situation, maybe she should have just said she was alright or good and not 'it's complicated'.
"add more to the skirt, yeah?" she asked
"You really don't want me to bore you with the details, believe me" she said grimly
"I'll be back in a sec, I need to get out of this thing"
She walked back into the cupboard and changed back into her black skinny jeans and purple hoodie. She placed her outfit back onto the maniquin and walked back out into the classroom. She sat on one of the tables and sighed.

Dakota stood up and walked towards her, sitting on the table next to her. "It won't bore me." She crossed her legs under her, Indian-style and looked around. The art room was kinda messy..

Holly sighed, she really didn't want to have think about what happened this morning at the park, she had just almost forgot about it.
"put it this way, have you ever liked somebody that didn't like you and that they liked your best friend instead?" she asked
With one simple question she more or less told her what had happened over the past few days between her, Reagan and Liam.

"Kinda.. But it was more that I liked a guy and he liked me and my best friend liked him too.." Dakota said, frowning slightly.. "So.. I guess I would be like your friend." She looked away from Holly and saidd "Knowing from the other position, try talking to her.. Try to forgive her.. I know how it feels to be in that position.. It sucks."

"well I'm glad there is somebody else that sorta knows how I feel" Holly said as she shifted about on the table.
"But I don't know if I can forgive her, I'd like to. I should be happy for her and all but it was supposed to be me that likes him and then she's goes and steals him from me" she said in a huff as she crossed her arms across her chest.

"Well, sometimes you can't help it. Alex was the first guy I'd ever liked and my old best friend, Rachel liked him and he liked me. And now if I could go back I would not have beat her up, or said any of the mean things I said to her. It was wrong. Just don't take things out of hand. It's one guy. There's plenty of guys in this school." Dakota said, putting a hand on Holly's sholder.

"but they're all like 'let's just be friends'" she said as she pounted her lips
"I guess I should forgive Reagan, I mean it's not her fault that Liam likes her an not me"
"there's plenty of fish in the sea" she said using quotation marks in the air.
"Maybe, I just have to get them to notice me rather than the other way around" she said with a mischevious grin

"Being single means you can flirt with any guy you want and get away with it" she said smiling a little
"I'm sure there are guys that would like me, just none of them are in this school" she said with a huff.
