Dakota shrugged and Dontey and said "It's cool. Like Alex said, school's not that important." She leaned back in a bridge[it's like a backbend] and kicked her legs over and into a handstand.

"To me it is." Dontey said quietly. "My parents have high hopes for me. My dads a business man from Japan and my mother works at an animal clinic here in Florida. They want me to live a good and healthy life. And health includes education."

"My parents don't give a shit about me." Dakota said, coming out of her handstand, "Well, as long as I keep winning trophies, they'll care. They never cared about me until I started to win."

"I'm sure your parents care Kota" Alex said, crossing his legs and leaning on his arms.
"Everyone had different opinions on things" He added randomly, checking his phone for messages then placing it back in his pocket.
"I don't talk to my parents" Alex shrugged, looking ahead at the basketball nets, "But I don't care" He added quickly, watching Dakota.

"Really" Alex said to Dakota, not knowing why he found that bit of information interesting. He smiled, but then turned to Dontey, "Oh I'm sorry" He said quietly.

Hearing Dontey, She frowned "That's not good."
She turned to Alex, moving her hand closer to him and grabbing one of his fingers.

Dontey saw them and looked away. She tried to stand up, achieving that goal. She put her foot to the ground. "Well I might be able to do the concert after all." she said with a laugh. Her ankle was still throbbing painfully but it was a lot better than it had been before.
