Emilie was waiting in line with her food tray, waiting to load up some of the dull food that this cafeteria offered onto her plate when she felt someone come up behind her.

Christian was late to the food line so it was long, he noticed the girl called Emilie he had met early, and walked up to her. "You in this dull line as well?" he asked, coming up behind her and smiling.

She turned around to find the guy that she had met earlier, Christian. "Unfortunately yes." She replied with a smile. "But it just got less dull, now that you've arrived." She added with a chuckle as she took one step up the line as it progressed fowards.

Christian smiled and stepped forward also as the line got shorter, "I find these sort of lunch times really unintresting." he said laughing but smiling at her and scratched the back of his head.

"Agreed." She said with a nod. "Hmm I wonder what's for lunch today? It's probably nothing new, have the lunch ladies ever heard of 'variety'?" Emilie said in a slight amused manner.

Christian laughed and shrugged, "No idea, I don't know until we get to the actual serving place..hang on.." he spotted one of his mates and shouted over
"Oi, Millings, whats for lunch?" the boy whose name was Millings, answered back, "Fish and chips."
"Cheers." Christian winced, "Yuck, oh well." he said laughing.

Emilie showed a look of slight disgust. "They have the worst fish and chips here, it's all soggy and gross." Emilie just realised that a lunch lady was standing near them, who gave Emilie and Christian a filthy look. "Whoops." Emilie said with a laugh as she moved up the line again.

Christian looked round and smiled cheerfully at the dinner lady who seemed not too pleased. "Yes, I know what you mean." Christian said quieter, still smiling.

Emilie laughed as she arrived at the food on the counter. The lunch lady started plonking food on the plate, chips were jumping off the plate everywhere. Emilie thought she heard the lunch lady mumble something about 'ungrateful kids', she turned to Christian and rolled her eyes, clearly speaking her opinion about the lunch lady without words.
Emilie stepped out of the line, food on her plate and she waited for Christian to exit the line.

Christian sniggered, got his plate, stared hard at the lunch lady who blushed and shooed him away, he looked around and saw Emilie, "Where shull we sit?" He asked, looking around.

"Hmmm..." Emilie said, looking around the cafeteria, searching for a spare table. "Ooh there's a table." She finally said as she began making her way towards the empty table on the left side of the room.

Christian followed, setting his tray down and sitting down, staring at the plate of *stuff* in front of him. He picked up his folk, made a face and bit into a chip, it was rock solid..."eww.." he said and put it down.

Emilie was just about to take a bite of a chip when she set it down again. "I'm not hungry anymore." She said as she pushed the tray away. "I think I'll go fetch some pizza later..." She said thoughtfully before changing the subject. "So how long have you been at 'Watson Academy'?" Emilie asked curiously.

"Since I was a freshmen." Christian said, "came over from England after my mum was killed in an accident." he said, pushing the plate away from him as he spoke.

"Oh, I'm sorry." Emilie said awkwardly as her hands intertwined in her lap, rolling in circles, it was a habit of hers.
