Maddie strolled into her new dorm. She was obviously sharing, although she didn't know the names of the other girls. She could see that they were already well settled in though. She was kind of sad that the place was deserted, on the one hand now she could put all her stuff away without having to worry about making conversation, but on the other hand, she would have liked to meet her dorm mates. She quickly put things away and then collapsed on her new bed. It was actually pretty comfortable, not what she had expected from a boarding school.
Sighing she looked around wondering about her dorm mates. Were they nice, mean, drama queens? She had no way to know until she actually met them. It still didn't really seem real that she was actually here, it probably wouldn't until she actually met somebody, but from what she had seen the school was very nice. She wondered if she should go for a walk, or if she should just wait and hope that her dorm mates would return and they could meet. Before she knew it she was lost in her thoughts attempting to imagine what the meetings would be like.

Dakota walked into her dorm to find someone in her room. "Er.. Hi? Who are you?"

Maddie was ripped from her thoughts with the entrance of another girl. "Hi, um, I'm Madeleine Blythe" she told the girl feeling kind of foolish, "You can call me Maddie though." She stood up nervously and smiled. "I'm guessing this is your dorm as well" she said regretting it before the words were even out of her mouth, she had sounded like such an idiot, but it was too late now. "So, what's your name" she asked the other girl, because after all if the girl hadn't laughed in her face by now, she may as well know who she was talking too.

"Hi Maddie." Dakota said, smiling. The shock was gone."'m Dakota." She thought for a minute and said "You're going to have a lot of.. drama in this room. Sorry you had to be in here." ^_^

Maddie listened to the new girl introduce herself as Dakota. She had to admit she really liked that name, although it definitely wouldn't fit her. Then Dakota apologized for the drama she would be dealing with in this room. "Oh, it's no problem" Maddie said shrugging, "Granted, I'm not exactly used to drama, but I'll find a way to deal." She was glad that Dakota was smiling, maybe she hadn't made a complete fool of herself earlier. "So, since you're here I may as well ask what our other roommate is like" Maddie asked her thoughtfully, "Generally I don't like to pry, but if I've got drama to look forward to I figure I may as well be warned before hand." She grinned at Dakota wondering if she would actually tell her anything.

"Well, I probably wouldn't be the best person to ask.." Dakota said, sitting on her bed. "We used to be best friends, but she stopped being friends because the guy she liked, he likes me and I like him. And now we're dating and we got in a fight. And my boyfriend got in a fight with my cousin. Pretty much no one wants us to go out."

When Maddie saw Dakota sit on her own bed Maddie took the cue and sat on hers. "Oh dear" Maddie say raising an eyebrow, "well that certainly explains why there will be drama. She laughed nervously wondering if she had gotten herself in the middle of World War Three. "That sounds complicated to say the least" she admitted to Dakota, "I'm sorry about the people who don't want you to go out. I think they should respect your decision to date who ever you want." She looked around the room wondering if maybe she should have asked for a single, but knowing she would be much happier sharing, even if it was putting her in the middle of WW3.
"Well, that was obviously a bad topic of discussion" Maddie said laughing a bit, "Well lets try something else shall we" She paused thinking, "Do you like it here" she asked the other girl, "Is it really tough to make friends if you come in this late in the game?" She wasn't sure why she had asked that seeing as she barely knew Dakota, but figured it wouldn't hurt to ask her opinion.

"Yeah." Dakota said, shrugging. "It's all good."
"It's amazing here!" Dakota said, getting excited."It's so easy to make friends. I know everyone here."

Maddie smiled as Dakota seemed to get very excited about Watson. She was very happy to see that the students were excited, because you really had to talk to a student to know if a school was all it was cracked up to be. "I'm not surprised that you know everyone, you seem really outgoing" Maddie admitted, masking the relief she felt when she heard that it was easy to make friends. She had worried that ti might be tough breaking into a school where everyone already had their circles already, but apparently it wouldn't be too tough. "I take it the best thing about this place is the people" Maddie said thoughtfully, "Which reminds me sorry if I'm keeping you from your friends." She paused thoughtfully, "So besides the people, and the beautiful school what's the best part about Watson" she asked Dakota curiously.

Dakota laughed and said "Yeah. "
"Nope. I have no plans for today. Well, I might later. But not now." Dakota said, laughing.
"Er.. Lots of cute boys."

Maddie laughed a bit knowing that cute buys kind of fell under people, but hey, who was she to complain. "Cute guys are always good" she said grinning, "Actually more than good. I can definitely appreciate a cute guy." "It seems like this school is just a magnet for good looking people" she said nodding, "Definitely a bonus." She grinned at Dakota happy that she didn't have plans for awhile. "My boyfriend and I broke up when I left Victoria. So maybe I should start looking around" she said with a raised eyebrow. "Have you gone to school here since freshman year" she asked Dakota curiously. She really was wondering about her new roommate, after all she was going to be living with her, it was only natural.

"Yeah." Dakota said grinning "I've got the cutest though."
"Awww. I hate break ups." Dakota said, frowning slightly.
"Yeah." Dakota said. "It's really fun here. I've never had any desire to leave."

She laughed hearing Dakota talk about her boyfriend. "Why do I get the feeling that you're slightly biased" Maddie asked her pretending to be truly thoughtful. She shook her head when Dakota said that she hated break ups. "I think everyone does, but this one was fine" Maddie admitted, "We're still friends, but we knew it would be hard to keep up a relationship when we were living in different countries, especially since we're on opposite sides. She paused, "In other words it was mutual" she told Dakota. "I'm glad it's fun here. I would hate to have dreamed of this school for all these years and have it end up not being fun" she admitted, "and yes I do know that I'm a dork for dreaming about a school."
She smiled at Dakota, "So, the social life is obviously awesome, what are the classes like" she asked Dakota realizing that she was only proving her dorkiness by asking, but hey, if she was going to have to be in these classes for hours everyday she may as well have a heads up about what it was going to be like.

"Because he's like, the coolest and most amazing guy at this school." Dakota grinned.
"Oh well that's good." Dakota said, laughing a little.
"Er.. I don't really know. I don't go to many of my classes." she frowned slightly.

Maddie grinned as well when she heard Dakota praising her boyfriend. "I'm sure he is the coolest and most amazing guy in the school" Maddie said agreeing, knowing that it would be best to go along with it despite not having met the guy. When she heard Dakota say that she didn't go to many of her classes it wasn't exactly the answer she had been expected, but she shrugged, wishing she hadn't made Dakota frown. "Oh" Maddie said simply, "So what do you do, hang out with your boyfriend?" She decided not to push the subject, there were always people who didn't like school, or perhaps just felt they had better things to do. It wasn't like she hadn't ditched a couple of classes in her time, although not too many since her old school was pretty strict.
"I suppose it must be easier to skip at a boarding school without parents around" she grinned, "Maybe I'll actually be able to skip more here. My old school was killer strict, I usually didn't mind it, but sometimes it was just so aggravating."
