Astoria sighed, throwing her history books onto her desk and collapsing onto her bad with her music folder.
She had given up on her homework, she had calculated that she at least had a few days to complete her essays. She grabbed the remote from her bedside table and switched the stereo on.
She looked up at the clock, "Dinner soon" She said to herself with a smile, she sighed and opened her ring binder to go through her music.

Avery had finally reached the door, juggling a salad, a sandwich for Stori, a two-liter of soda, and the rest of dinner stuff while she reached around her shoulder bag for her dorm key. She was always pretty bad about where she put it... She finally found it and stuck in it the lock, she turned it then jiggled it, either her key was brand new or their lock was a weirdo because you always had to jiggle it. And when she told that to visitors, they gave her the strangest looks. 'Just jiggle it in the lock...'. See? Strange. She opened the door and just about sprinted over to the kitchen counter to put down all the food.
Avery turned to Storia. "I got you your favorite sandwich and your favorite soda, roomie! Dinner's on me." She exclaimed with a smile. Astoria was the kind of person who you could surprise with something nice like this and she would be genuinely thankful, so that's why Avery did things like this for her roomie.

Astoria looked up as she heard the door handle rattle, there dormitory had to be the one with the dodgy lock.
She smiled as Avery entered, running quickly into the kitchen area. Astoria jumped of the bed instantly, and hurried over to help.
"Aww" Astoria said, "Thanks Avery!" She said happily, giving her a hug, "You're a gem" She smiled, "I was going to go fetch something after I completed that ruddy history homework" She sighed, opening her can of soda and taking a sip.

Avery laughed out loud at the 'you're a gem' bit. "I know I'm amazing." She bowed once to each side, right and left. She took the plastic top off of her salad and turned to Storia. "Save your sandwich container, I think it's plastic number six. We can make homemade shrinky dinks with it!" She laughed, she always knew all these sort of tricks for cool stuff like that.
"So what are you up to besides homework? Make any new friends or anything lame like that?" Avery laughed again, she was one of those people who laughed at her own jokes, because she could... strangeeeeeeee XD

Astoria giggled, she tried swallowing her soda whilst laughing, it didn't work. She grabbed her sandwich from the side counter, "Of course" She said, when Avery mentioned saving the container, "Shrinky what whats?" She said giggling again.
Astoria swallowed a part of her sandwich and looked up, "Writing a new piece for the piano" She said with a smile.
She took a seat by the desk, "Nah I met this new guy called Whit earlier though..." She explained, forgetting remembering that she had heard that him and Avery had met.

Avery just cracked up as soda trickled out of Stori's nose, so much so that she actually had to take a seat at their makeshift kitchen table. "YOU HAD A CHILDHOOD AND YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT SHRINKY DINKS ARE?! HOW DARE YOU!" Avery's jaw dropped. She even knew what they were and she had grown up with hippies in the middle of freaking nowhere. "They're plastic that you draw on then you put them in the oven and they shrink to about a third of the original size and you can make nifty jewelry with them. They're awesome!" She explained. She always had cool jewelry because she made it herself!
"Oh cool, I want to hear it later." And then Astoria mentioned Whit and it came to Avery's attention that she hadn't told her about him yet. "Whit, huh? I know him a little bit... He's very interesting..." She chose to just beat around the bush until she really had to tell her, just like she did with Joe. She wasn't ashamed of Whit but no one really got him the way she thought she did, so no one would really understand.

"Wouldn't the plastic just..." Astoria began, she hadnever heard of these things, "Melt?" She asked, she laughed, "But they sound super cool" x]
Astoria laughed, "It's not finished yet..." She said, she always had to make sure her music was perfect before she played it to anyone.
She nodded, "Yeah, he's..." She tried thinking of one word to describe him, "Sarcastic" She laughed, "He got rid of Dakota earlier, was quite funny"
She took another sip of the cherryade, "So how do you know him?" She asked, wanting to know about this conversation Joe and Whit had been talking about.

"Nope, it's a certian kind of plastic, and it doesn't melt unless it gets like REALLY hot. Which you don't make them that hot anyway, so it's perfect." Avery smiled, no one else knew all of this useless enviromental crap that she did, so she felt kind of cool about knowing all this stuff. "We will definatley make some awesome stuff. I make all my jewelry form the organic strawberry containers!"
"You and your OCD. I'll have to wait till you obsess over it for like four more days till I even hear a note. Hopefully this time you won't kick me out to work on it, though." That had happened one time and Little Miss Mellow was pissed. But how could you stay mad at Storiiiiiii? XD
"Oh yeah, that Whit he's just a pocket full of sunshine!" She joked, with a chuckle. "Oh I was in the library and he started harrassing me and we ended up... kissing." She hoped Astoria wouldn't blow up at her...

"Thats awesome" Astoria said, amazed that you could make such cool stuff out of plastic sandwich cases. "I want a bracelet like yours" She then added with a smile.
She placed the soda on a mat on the desk, "It's not my fault" She laughed, "It just has to be prefect" She continued, "Every note has to be in the correct place, and they have to be arranged so it sounds right" She finished, "It won't take me long to finish this one though" She added.
She giggled, putting a hand to her mouth, as she remember the time she had kciked Avery out because she was so stressed over one composition. "Sorry about that" She apologized with a grin.
"Avery!" She scolded, "What have I told you?!" pretending to be shocked, but soon gave out to laughter. "Awww" She teased.

"I'll teach you how to make them, my cool pendants too." Avery smiled, she trusted Astoria to not spread awesome secrets all around school. "I just trace pictures from coloring books and childerens books with permanant markers. It's that easy!"
She listened as Stori talked about her music, she was into music too but making it and not to the extent of her counterpart. Astoria's life revolved around music, the way that her own life revolved around mother earth. She had immense respect for Stori and what she created, like changing the world, she knew it wasn't easy.
Then the bit about Whit came, what Avery was most nervous about. She really didn't want to keep it from people, they liked each other a whole lot and that wasn't a secret if you saw them together (okay so maybe it was), but it's one of those things that you can't understand unless you know the whole story. So that's why she was so relieved and glad when Stori wasn't mad about it. "Don't awwww. I slapped him. And I kicked him in the jewels. And I kissed him as a spite thing. But he's so cute that it kind of... I don't know. But he likes me too, he asked me out. He was so nervous, you should have seen it. But, enough about me..."

"Yay" Astoria said excitedly, she loved cute little accessories. She was going to have fun making them.
Swallowing another bite of her sandwhich she said, "Woah" She laughed, "A love hate relationship" She said with a giggle, "Bless" She continued, she loved being annoying.

Avery sat on the couch and opened up her spinach salad. She loved these, just raw spinach leaves with ranch dressing on them. Soooooo yummy! She smiled as Astoria talked. "Yeah, I guess you could call it that..." She trailed off, taking a bite of her delicious salad. She put the fork down and talked again. "I just don't know about it so much. Part of me just wants to take the leap, but I kind of know that that's not such a good idea..." She didn't expect the younger girl to understand most of the things she says, but mostly only because she'd been through some things in life that most people her age wouldn't have had to deal with. It wasn't always sunshine, rainbows, peace and love; even for a hippe.
((ooc; I eat my spinach salad with ham chunks in it but shes a vegetarian XD))

"If you like him you should so take the chance" Astoria said with a smile, not really knowing to say. She finished her sandwhich, and placed the plastic container into a clear box on the kitchen surface.
She jumped up of her chair and walked over to her bed, throwing herself on top of the duvets. She grabbed her music book and sat back, looking over at Avery. "So what else you been up to?" She asked.

"Yeah, I guess. I mean, only good can come of it... I think. Oh whatever I don't even know what I'm saying anymore!" Avery laughed. Talking about guys with her younger counterpart was a little awkward because as far as she knew, Astoria only had one boyfriend. And she had met this guy... XD
She listened to Storia's question and laughed. "Just working hard for semester exams, and other than that abseloutly nothing! Your lovely self?"

Astoria opened her large binder which contained all of her music work, she smiled, "Wow that sound's fun" She said slightly sarcastic.
"I hate exams..." She said, letting out a sigh, "I only care about one subject to be honest" She added, "And we all know what that is..." she laughed.
"Me.." she continued, "ha. like nothing" She grinned, looking up at the ceiling. |
