She looked down and whispered "You." She scooted as close as she could to him and felt a few tears roll down her face. She quickly wiped them away, hoping he wouldn't notice.

Alex frowned once again, confused.
"Why..." He said quietly, more to himself than to Dakota. He looked at her, he traced his hand over her cheek. "Please don't cry" He said smoothly.

"Well, it's hard not to when my best friend like the same guy as me." Dakota said, pausing to wipe a tear away, "She said that I always get who I want and it really hurt me."

Alex paused for a moment before saying anything.
"Oh" He said quietly, slightly confused.
He looked at her softly, "Look whatever she said to you, ignore it, you know who you are and thats what matters" He said, trying to be helpful. "You guys will make up"

"I hope so.." Dakota said. She moved her hand to his hair and started to play with it. "You have really soft hair. I like it." Dakota said.

Alex smiled, and whispered, "You will" as if he knew it would happen, although he didn't, he wasn't sure about anything.
Alex laughed, "Thanks" He answered, he spent ages on his hair, but that didn't make him vain. He put a hand to his head and pouted, "Brings out my eyes" He joked.

He smiled, his eyes locking onto hers.
"..God what?" He laughed quietly, moving his arm to hold up his head.

"I feel weird.." Dakota said.. "I feel happy and sad.. I feel nervous. I feel bad." She leaned up fo a minute to give him a quick kiss on his lips. "Sorry I've just wanted to do that for a while now." Dakota said, blushing.

Alex managed a small smile, "Do you feel bad because of Rachel?" He then asked, he didn't want to be the cause of this argument, although at the moment it looked like he was.
He was a bit surprised when Dakota kissed him, but nevertheless he lent forward, and returned the kiss. He pulled away for a second.

"It was bound to happen." Dakota whispered, "She said she was tired of me always getting the guys.. Which I don't by the way. You're the first guy we've both liked that I got. That's probably because you're the first guy I've actually liked.. She mistook me saying they were cute for me liking them." Dakota said, frowning. She didn't want him to think the whole fight was about him.

"A lot." Dakota said. "Like so much that.. so much that.." She thought for a minute and said "I'd chop off all my hair." She laughed and pushed him down so he was laying on his back and she laid on top of him. Her head was resting on his chest and her arms were stretched out and playing with his hair.
