Astoria grabbed her phone, iPod mini and keys and shoved them in a small pink shoulder bag.
Checking around her room for anything she might have left, she then left the dormitory and set off for the mall, where she would meet Delaney.
She walked quickly, and reached their normal meeting place.
Stori sat on the edge of the huge water fountain, which was the centre feature of the mall, and waited for her best friend to arrive.
She sighed happily, looking around at peoples happy faces.

Delaney arrived at the opposite end of the fountain, because she entered from the west wing of the mall, while Stori entered the east wing. She snuck up on Stori and once she reached her without Stori seeing her, she grabbed Stori's shoulder's and jerked ehr back as if she was going to push her in the fountain. She laughed as she pulled up her jeans and rearranged her boot clad feet.

Astoria screamed, and grabbed the side of the fountain. "I nearly fell in!" She squealed, as she caught her balance, calming herself down she stood up, and hugged her friend.
"But anyways" She said with a smile, "Hello"

Delaney laughed her freaking face off as she hugged her best friend. They let go and sat on the edge of the fountain and she was still laughing so hard that she nearly fell in, too. Which only made her laugh harder. Once she could stop and catch her breath, she spoke. "So we agreed on dinner and a movie, right darling." She felt like her suggestion made it seem like a date and so not Stori was her date for the rest of the night. Why am I always the guy?!

Astoria joined in with the laughter, she didn't even realise what was so funny, but Delaney's laugh made her giggle.
She put her hand behind Delaney as she nearly fell in the fountain, "Serves you right for making me jump" She grinned.
"Oh that does sound lovely" Astoria giggled, the way Delaney said it was quite funny.

"And then during the movie I'll work the nerve to casually put my arm around you while I pretend to yawn. Okay?" She laughed again. Stori's laugh made her break out hers too. And once the two of them started up, there was no stopping. "You pick dinner, I'll pick the movie." She stated. "And I'll be a good date and I won't pick any lame ninja movies."

"Oh no!" Astoria said, poshly, "That won't be allowed, you'll have to wait til the second date!" She corrected.
She broke out in laughter once again, "Stop.." She hicoughed[sp], "Making me laugh!" She sighed, "Now i have the hicoughs" She giggled.
"Well I'm in the mood for a pizza?" She then said, after she had stopped laughing, "Agreed?"

"Yeah, pizza sounds great. I was thinking that too actually. And it isn't my fault that my laugh is intoxicating!" She tried not to laugh, because she knew it would never stop and she might get the hiccups too and then people in the theatre would be just plan pissed. "Plus, I know how to cure the hiccups anyway. Aren't I amazing?"

"Awesome" Astoria smiled, when they had decided where to eat.
She frowned, as she hicoughed and sneezed at the same time.
"Well I would like to know your amazing cure" She said, trying to hold her breath, and count to ten. "Cos mine aren't working"

They set off walking toward the pizza place as Delaney explained her cure. "You have to have a cup of soda and a straw, which we'll have since we're at the mall," She laughed. "You plug your nose and your ears and then you drink as much as you can in one breath until you can't hold your breath anymore. The bubbles from the soda crush the bubble in your stomach causing the hiccups!"

Astoria nodded, as she dodged passers by, "Okay" She said slowly, "Sounds complicated to me" She said, pausing to hiccup, "...knowing me it'll be soda all over the dress" She giggled.
The reached the pizza parlor, and Astoria spoke to the waitress at the door.
"How many?"
Astoria held up two fingers, "Two please" She said smiling.

"Yeah probably, but you're my favorite klutz in the world so that's okay, honey." This date thing was just too funny. "Oh come on, I'm the dude, it's totally my job to order. Now, if you don't let me hold doors and pull out your chair, I'm leaving! I DON'T HAVE TO STAND FOR THIS, LITTLE MISSY!" The movie was going to be so funny, they may as well pick something they'd both already seen because Delaney was going to be too much of a joker boyfriend through to whole thing for them to pay attention anyway. Now that she thought about it, they could get kicked out if she did but she didn't really care anyway.

Astoria laughed uncontrollably, the waitress giving them both extremely weird looks.
Astoria played along, pretending to be shocked when he shouted, "Don't you yell at me young... man" She said loudly, "I could have easily turned down your lovely offer" She grinned, walking over to a table.
She hiccuped again, "Your a dork, but I love you" She laughed.

"Better believe it, I am the best boyfriend you will ever have. EVERRR!" Delaney laughed, who cares if waitresses give you funny stares. It isn't like you're ever going to see them again... why should they judge. "Please don't dump me." She added, fleetingly as a second thought. "Oh and as a couple, can you not call me 'baby' and stuff. I just think that's so fake and annoying..." She laughed, this couple joke was going to carry on for a loooong time and creep out a looooooot of people XD

Astoria tried controlling her giggling, but it was useless.
"You sure are one of a kind" She grinned, sitting down and fiddling with the hem of her dress.
"Hmmm" She said, pretending to be thinking, "I'll think about it" She smirked, "Oh! and of course not!" She said, shaking out her napkin, and shaking her hand, "Sure..baby" She giggled.
She loved these jokes with Delaney, they were so amusing, sure it earned her a lot of strange looks but it was just because they didn't get the joke.
