Astoria was carrying her heavy black ring binder, covered in stickers, with her left arm.
She continued walking up the corridor until she reached the music classrooms.
She stopped in front of her usual classroom, and opened the door checking it was empty before she walked in, slamming her folder onto a nearby wooden desk.
She shuffled through the A4 pages quickly, looking for her favourite piece of music.
Taking it out of the folder, she walked over to the keyboard near the window.
She placed the music carefully on the stand in front of her, and took a deep breath before playing the introduction of by heart.
She turned her head quickly, checking again that she was alone, before she started to sing quietly along whilst playing the song, following the lines of notes she had written on the page in front of her.

Holly began to walk around the school, she was really bored. School was over now and she was just walking about campus. She didn't want to go back to her dorm to be even more bored than she was already.
She began to half skip/half walk around the school listening to her Ipod. She stopped near the music corridor, she stopped the song she was listening to change it to a different song when she heard somebody playing a piano or a keyboard, she could never tell the difference. She listened to the girl playing and singing from outside the door, She liked the girls singing, it was mellow and peaceful.
When the girl had finished singing an playing she slowly walked pushed the door open slowly and walked in hesitantly. She walked in to see a girl she had seen about the school, she didn't even know her name but she knew she was quite a popular character. She leaned her hands against the table and smiled.
"That was really cool, I like your singing" Holly said, still smiling

Astoria finished the song, and rested her fingers upon the keys of the large keyboard.
She almost jumped out of her seat when she heard a voice from behind.
Her hand flew to her chest, as she whipped her head around, "God you scared me" She said with a slight laugh. Hurriedly shoving the music sheets into a pile.
"Thanks" she added quite embarrassed, she had hoped nobody would hear her, thinking that most people would either be at the cafeteria or in their dormitories.
She picked up her music, and walked quickly over to her folder.

"..I have that effect on some people" she laughed again
"So, do you play much?.." Holly asked casually
"cause your pretty good, I've never really met anybody before that plays the piano or whatever"

Ryuu ambled into the music room, his eyes hooded with weariness. He tossed his bag onto one of the desks, and there was the sound of glass cracking. He cursed, and lifted the bag up, feeling it incase the liquid in the glass bottle had leaked. Sighing in relief when he found it hadn’t, he set the bag down carefully again and got out his drum sticks.
“Hallo ladies,” he drawled, glancing over at Holly and Astoria, smirking in a flirty way. He then walked over to the school drums, an old kit with lots of scratches on and a couple of small holes. The cymbals were tarnished, and sounded dull when you hit them, but Ryuu couldn’t be bothered to go all the way back to his dorm, so popped in here. He started to play, messing around with his own thing at first, before playing House of wolves by MCR. He smiled; pleased with his skill (he’d been playing for 8 years or so). Hitting the drums as loud as he could, he sang the chorus, feeling the energy of the song coursing through him. His voice wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t super star quality. If anything, it was decent. Much better when he screamed.
She says:

Astoria opened her binder and slid the sheets of paper carefully back into their place.
She glanced up at Holly, "Thanks" She repeated again, "I've been playing since I was six" She added, she pushed herself up to sit on the desk.
"I'm Asto-" She said, but stopped mid-sentence when Ryuu entered the room. She rolled her eyes but laughed, "Hey" She said to him, crossing her legs.
"Astoria" She said again to Holly with a grin, over the noise of Ryuu and his drums.
"Hmm" She said, turning around with a grin to see Ryuu, "I guess that was Pretty good" she laughed.

Before Holly realised that the girl she met could even tell her her name a guy she knew from her English class, Ryuu, walked in. She knew that he didn't like her very much cause she was emo, but she wasn't going to change for anybody.
She found the girls name was Astoria.
"Pretty name" She said with a smile
"I'm just plain old Holly" she muttered with a laugh as she sat on the table across from Astoria and she began to swing her legs.
"and I guess you could say that was Pretty good if you like playing rubbish music" She said quietly. Holly wasn't an MCR kind girl, she thought they were too 'sellout'.

He drummed ‘are we the waiting’ by Green day thoughtfully, not concentrating on playing for a moment. He glared at Holly, and ignored her coment about rubish music. He just played what sounded nice, not for the lyrics, but for the drumming.
“Oh yeah?” he smirked, taking Astoria’s comment as a dare. He wracked his brains for something to play (and sing) and then smirked. How about that MCR song with the really long name? He started tapping the cymbals; this song had lots of cymbal tapping, which he enjoyed. After a few minuets he suddenly screamed,
“I can’t clean the blood off the sheets on my bed! Woaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh! Yeah! he then burst out laughing, hitting the drums randomly. He was seriously bored, and he had a few hours to kill before any pups would kick into evening mode.
“What you guys up to later?” he asked casually, playing a made up song.
She says:

"Holly's a lovely name" Astoria said with a grin, "My parents.. well they decided to be pretty inventive" She said, wrinkling her nose, she wished she had a normal name.
Her mouth dropped slightly, "You don't like My Chemical Romance?" She asked, surprised slightly.
She turned to Ryuu, "Bit better" She laughed, determined not to compliment him, she liked being annoying.
She shrugged, adjusting her bright blue hoodie, meaning she actually had no idea what she was doing later. She'd probably end up reading a book all night.

Holly sat there watching as Ryuu continued to play, she could help but laugh and smirk at the same time. On the outside she showed that she she didn't really like Ryuu but secretly she had a crush on him, just kinda like a pre-school were you would pick on the person you actually liked.
She began to laugh at him and his absurdity, she did find it quite entertaining.
"I have no clue what I'm doing later, I'm a kinda a just do it girl rather than a plan it girl" she laughed
"and no, I don't particularly like MCR, they're too 'sellout' for my liking" she said as she turend to look at Astoria
"so, I'm up to anything really" she smiled
"what bout you Ryuu?" she asked as she folded her arms

Ryuu huffed sulkily like a young child, Astoria was determined to not compliment him tonight, and so he shrugged and hopped off the stool to get his music book.
“'Sellout' my ass. Just because Gerard's vocals are hammy, doesn't mean the music ain't good. I’m hittin’ the town, as per usual. Wanna tag along?” he asked, out of courtesy rather than genuine friendliness. He found the book he wanted (Blood sugar sex magik, Red Hot Chili peppers.) and went back to the drum kit. He sat down, and started playing messily. He cursed, and tried again. Totally messing it up, he tried a different song with similar results.
“Argh…Fucked it up…” he muttered, trying again and again. If I told you that Chad Smith (the RHCP drummer) is so good people say he ‘eats the drums for breakfast’ you’d understand why Ryuu couldn’t possibly stand up to such talent. He slammed the drums had and then hit the cymbal at the end, letting out his pent up frustration, before starting again slower than normal.
She says:

"I'm not saying you can't like them, I'm just saying I don't like them" Holly said in a folding her arms tighter..and please RHCP..don't make me laugh!" Holly exclaimed as she tried to stifle a laugh with her hand over her mouth in a girly fashion.
"and yeah..I'm not really doing anything later so yeah..I'll go out to town with ya if you want...Astoria? You in?" Holly asked
Holly watched as Ryuu continued to play the drums but failing miserably and she watched as he slammed his drumsticks down on the symbols in frustration. She tried not to laugh.
"aww, baby spit his bottle out?" Holly asked with a laugh, she didn't really mean it but she couldn't resist saying it.

He stopped, and turned his head to stare at Holly.
“You just dissed the Red Hot Chili Peppers? Dude, you wouldn’t know good music if it fucked you,” he said, angry at her baby bottle comment, but chose to ignore it. He put the drum sticks down on the drum carefully, and went back to his bag, pulling out the cracked beer bottle. He inspected it, and was pleased to see the crack hadn’t actually split open, so he got out a bottle cap remover and popped the cap off, taking a swig of beer. Ryuu didn’t particularly care he wasn’t meant to drink in school. He went back to the drums again, and set the beer bottle down on a desk next to the kit. He weighed the sticks in his hand, looking thoughtfully at the drums before he started playing the first tune that came to him. He wasn’t sure what it was, maybe a mixture of lots of things.
She says:

Astoria couldn’t help but laugh at him, “Don’t sulk, you know your good” she said, pushing herseld further onto the table and sat on her legs.
She pondered on the thought of going into town with them, she wasn’t in the mood for any trouble but then again she had nothing better to do. “What you planning to do in town?” She asked, not answering straight away.
She watched him as he played a few songs by the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. “Well, you don’t expect it to sound like the actual thing do you?” She smirked; even Ryuu who was amazing at drums couldn’t pull that off. She pushed her bright hair out of her emerald eyes, and shuffled in her seat so she was in the right position to talk to both Holly and Ryuu. Placing her folder on her thighs, she began searching through it again.

Holly began to laugh a bit louder than she had before but she was laughing mockingly at Ryuu. "I know plently good music" She said abrubtly, standing up from the table she was sitting on. She watched as Ryuu walked over and opened a beer bottle and drink it. "You bring alcohol to school?" She asked in a slightly shocked tone "That's kinda cool" she said completely changing her tone to slightly happy. She was thinking of comenting on Ryuu's 'you wouldn't know good music if it fuked you' but she just ignored it, she wasn't one for starting fights, although they usually did find her. [ooc: I'm multi tasking lol, I'm watching tv, Listening to music and reading 'twilight'  ] |
