It was a hot summers day, the sun was high in the sky and the ground baked underneath the blazing sun. Stephen walked slowely among the trees, the shade was so nice in the baking hot day.
He walked slowely, his feet tripping over the ruff stones as he came into the courtyard, heading for a bench which sat in the shade, a couple of people were sun bathing on the benches which were in the sun, Stephen saw the pink skinny stomachs of two girls who were lying on a patch of grass not far off, looking like they were half alseep which they were most likely as the sun was very hot and made people tired very easierly.
Stephen sat down on the bench, looking at the girls and then to the cool fountain that was a little way off, the water trickling into the basin and over flowing on the the ground.

Chloe was bored sitting in her dorm for most of the day, she was sitting drawing a portrait of her little cousin from a photograph she found, but her desk was next to the window and the sun was beating down on her making her really nnoyed. She finally gave up, she would go back to it later, and she changed into a pair of white denim shorts and tight pink tshirt and her yellow converse shoes.
She walked from her dorm pulling her hair up into a high ponytail that showed off her heart shaped face. She walked through the school and soon fouind herself outside in the courtyard.
She saw a guy sitting by one of the benches, he looked kinda lonely. She slowly walked up to him and sat near to him on the bench, crossing her legs.
"Hey" She said happily and enthusiastically
"How come you're out here all by yourself?" she asked with a slight laugh. |

Stephen looked towards the girl who had suddenly sat dwon beside her, she looked friendly enough. "Oh, hello." he muttered, watching her, he hadn't seen her before.
Why was he out here on his own? He didn't know or care, "I was bored and I wanted to come out here." he muttered, a simple answer, he thought, he didn't give away much with strangers. He looked at her.
"I havn't seen you around, are you knew?" he asked, watching her closely.

Chloe sat and listened to the guy and smiled, she always had to have somebody to talk to, she was a very social and energetic person. She shifted her self on the bench so she was sitting with her legs in a basket style.
"Yeah same here kinda, I know how you feel, It's such a nice day, I don't even know why I was cooped up in my dorm most of the day" she said with a laugh
"yeah, I guess you could say I was new here, mom and dad made me come though"
"I'm Chloe by the way" she said with a smile as she tried to tighten her ponytail. |

Stephen watched her, "When did you come here? he asked her, looking her up and down, she seemed a genuaily nice person to be around.
"I'm Stephen, Stephen Colly." he muttered, this girl seemed to be jolly about life, well he certainly wasn't.
"Do you like it here? Met anyone?" he asked, trying to make conversation while running out of things to say.

Chloe noticed that he didn't seem very enthusiastic about his replies, maybe he was just a shy kind of person, unlike Chloe who was a little too extrovert at times when she wanted to be.
"well..yeah, I guess I've met a couple people, some really nice and friendly and some are just a bit strange" she said with a slight laugh
"but i wouldn't say I'm totally new, you probably just haven't seen me around much" she said with a smile
"I've been here a couple months, sort of 4 or 5 months, where have you been the whole time? we could have been best buds by now!" she continued to laugh |

Stephen wasn't going to say he was getting quiet scared by this girl, he just shrugged and smiled. "I've been here for a month." he muttered, looking at the girl. The smile didn't liger for long as it soon faded.
"Who have you met here? I might know one or two people." he said.

Chloe continued to smile at Stephen, she just had this feeling that he was a shy,quiet boy. She never understood some people lilke that, why be quiet and shy when you can be effervescent and happy, You only live once.
"Yeah, well maybe that's why you haven't seen me about mcuh then..." she said slowly and calmly
"...You haven't been here as long as me, I'm usually cooped up in the art department anyway" she said with a smile as she brought her legs up to sit in a basket position.
"I've met a few, I met Bridgette when I first came here, she's cool and there's Rosie, my new roomie....yeah and well there's Alex but don't even get me started on him..." she said a touch of annoyance in her tone
"...and then there's Alex's friend Ryuu, he's a cool guy I suppose" |

Stephen nodded, he had heard of Ryuu but that was it, "Have you met a girl called Addie?" he asked, Addie and him had hit it off the moment they saw eachother, he didn't know if she and him were going to become dates, he would have to see.
"Why is Alex like that? Why can't you talk about him? I'd like to listen." he said, smiling slightly and pulling his coat around him more.
