The gym was empty, except for a small freshman practicing her dance routine. The loud pop music was echoing around the large hall, Alex yawned and stretched his arms above his head.
He looked around the spacious sports hall, and checked the time on his iPhone, whilst changing the current track which was blaring through his white headphones.
He was supposed to be meeting up with Callie after her Cheer leading practice.
Alex ruffled his black hair, and fiddled with the sleeves of his bright green t-shirt.
He was sat up against the wall furthest to the entrance with his music turned up as loud as it could go without deafening him. He yawned again and looked up at the ceiling, waiting for Callie to arrive.

Holly was walking araound the school, she was dodging class - she hated maths. She walked around the school surpirsingly undeteced. She had her pink skinny jeans on and a yellow spongebob tshirt with her blue high heels. She was listening to her Ipod, at full blast, as usual, She knew that there was no classes on just now in the gym hall so she wandered in quietly. As soon as she opened the door she spotted Alex sitting against the wall listening to his music too.
She slowly walked up to him, he was completly oblivious to her prescence because his music was so loud, a bit like her own, although she had taken one of her earphones out. She walked up beside him and prodded him on the shoulder and waved like a 3 year old kid.
"Hiya Alex" She said happily, although a little too loud |

"..And we're on top!" Callie shouted as she was lifted on top of a pyramid. They had practiced outside today. Slowly she raised her leg and rested against her left calf. She smiled and looked at her cheerleading instructor. "Very good Callie. You all will do great at the game tomorrow. Practice is over."
Callie smiled and the girls let her down. Then she laughed and walked with them grabbing her water bottle. " Yeah I know. So Callie who do you like?" One of the girls on the squad asked her and she thought for a second. " No one." That was a lie. She liked Aiden. Though she would never admit, unless he asked her out first. "Oh come on; everytime I look at you you're looking at Aiden. He's so cute how can you not?" CAllie sighed. " Because he's annoying. Now if you'll excuse me I would like to relax before I go home." Callie rolled her eyes at the girls and walked inside the gym.
Then she saw Alex and grinned. "Hey Alex, sorry for the wait. Practice ran early." She smiled at him and took a drink of her water bottle.

Alex hummed along to the current song he was listening too, snapping his head round as he felt someone tap him.
He sighed, "Oh Hey Holly" He said to her with a smile.
He wrapped his headphones around his iPhone, turning the music off. His smile grew as he saw Callie head towards him.
He heaved himself of the sports floor, and walked over to meet her, "No worries" He said with a simple smile, "How was practice?" He asked, he knew she took it seriously, but he didn't know a thing about cheerleading.

Shortly after getting detention for history, Ryuu had managed to break one of the school drums (no one would be surprised, seeing the way he bashed them) and he’d got detention with the music teacher as well. Thank god he’d lain off bunking off for a few days; he could feel a detention coming from the English and the Math teacher, so he decided to play it cool for a bit. He wandered the school after the bell went, looking for someone to hang out with. He walked past the gym, and remembered the cheerleaders were having a practice (when you’re Ryuu, you find out these kinds of things) and he smirked to himself, heading inside. He saw he wasn’t the only one, and waved at Holly who was listening to her iPod.
“Oi! Alex! What you doin’? Where’s ‘Kota?” he called out to Alex, grinning stupidly. He’d defiantly get an angry reply to that or a bop on the head. His attention turned to the sole cheerleader who was with them, and smirked playfully.
“Hey gorgeous, where’d you find him, eh?” he said smoothly, walking over to them, and ruffling Alex’s hair playfully.
She says:
Behave, little boy, you better sit back down
Till you hold your ground
It's your time to learn to fight
You better sit back down, till you hold your ground

Holly noticed that Ryuu came into the hall too as Alex waled over to chat to a girl she had only seen in and around the school. She placed her Ipod in the pocket of her purple hoodie and walked over to where they were all gathered, she didn't like to feel ignored. She did notice tha as Ryuu came in he waved to her, so at least somebody acknowledged her. She had a feeling that Alex wasn't being his usual self and when he told Ryuu to 'shut it' when he tried to ruffle his hair, that wasn't really like Alex as far as she knew. And Ryuu's comment to Callie only made her laugh, that was typical Ryuu, always trying to pick up girls wherever he could.
She turned to Alex and placed her hand on his lower arm and looked up at him.
"Alex, what's wrong? you don't seem yourself today" She said calmly |

Alex rolled his eyes, and closed his eyes for a moment before tugging at the sleeves of his hoodie.
He ignored the Dakota comment, the look on his face at the moment said all he wanted to say to Ryuu.
Alex ducked and moved out of the way, so Ryuu wouldn't mess up his hair, "Shut it" He said blankly, not even a smile on his face, his blue eyes were unusually dull today, he just wasn't feeling too good.
And detention and the hangover wasn't helping the situation. He sighed, shook his head, and put on a smile. He looked at Holly, "I'm fine" He said simply.

Callie smiled at him. " Good. We need to hang out before the game. Any ideas?" Then she heard a voice and someone come up behind her. Callie playfully rolled her eyes and turned her head to see someone she only knew by face; not name. "Oh he decided to talk to me his freshmen year and we've been best friends ever since." She smiled but then noticed Alex's comment and look on his face.
Callie bent down and sat next to him; placing her hand on his cheek. " Alex you're not fine. Don't even think about lying to your best friend." She gave him a small smile and looked in his eyes noticing how they weren't as blue as they usually were.

Ryuu’s brow furrowed. Best friend and he’d never met her?
“Eh? Really? I’ve never met you before…I’m Ryuu anyway, and Alex is my little emo muffin before you get any ideas,” he grinned, and sat down the other side of Alex, pouting in sympathy slightly.
“Detention got you down, mate?” he asked, intertwining his fingers.
She says:

Alex groaned, "It's really difficult hardly seeing Dakota, I have limited spare time" He said, not knowing why he was making such a fuss. It's just today, he was in a bad mood, he had woken late, got in trouble in lessons, landed himself detention and gained over 3 hours of homework.
He smiled, it took a lot of effort.
"I'm keeping her away from you Ry" He laughed, it was a joke; which must mean Alex was feeling slightly better.
"What do you want to do?" He then asked Callie.

Ryuu snorted, Alex was complaining about detention? Welcome to the world of Ryuu.
“Dude, detention’s part of having fun,” he winked, “You get to skip even more stuff then!” He thought for a while, Alex really seemed to like ‘Kota, and Ryuu liked being the ‘romance guru’ even though he really sucked at it.
“I told you mate, it’s a sign…Why you keeping girls away from me? Bitch,” he muttered the last word, turning away in a mock sulk. He shook his head violently, so that his hair fell into its usual messy style with a few greasy strands over his eyes.
“I can think of something fun we can do,” he purred, smirking and eyeing Callie playfully.
She says:

Callie laughed at Alex's joke. He was joking which was a good thing because it meant he was finally beginning to get in a better mood. She hated seeing her best friend all moody like this. Giving a smile she sat down next to Alex and layed her head down on his lap trying to make him laugh. Then she looked up at Ryan and laughed. " You know you're going to have to try a lot harder. Because I have Aiden Reese chasing after me too." Callie smiled at him playfully and turned her attention back to Alex; her head st ill on his lap.
"I don't know. I was thinking about the beach. What do you think? I'm open for all ideas."

Alex looked at Ryuu, his glare turning into a curious look, "What exactly do you mean by sign?" He asked, with a frown.
He rolled his eyes, guessing what Ryuu's suggestion would most likely consist off.
He laughed at Callie, his eyebrows raised slightly. He flicked one of her curls with his fingers, "Beach sounds good" He said simply, looking around at everyone else.

Callie looked up at Ryuu confused as well about the sign thing. But before she could ask what he meant Alex beat her to it. The cheerleading captain just rolled her eyes and smiled at Holly. " Hey how're you?" She asked trying to be nice.
As Alex flicked one of her curls she gave a light laugh. They always did this kind of stuff, and she loved it. " Okay so what're you waiting for?" She asked him and raised her hand brushing some hair out of his face.
