There is a thin line between, what is good and what is evil, I would tiptoe down that line, but I would feel unstable. My life is a circus, and I am tripping down the tightrope, Well, there is nothing to save me now, I’m falling to the ground. Falling to the ground. Down to the ground
Danni felt like turning and hiding under the bench as Bill spoke venomously to him. He flinched, the words cutting his heart. Why was it anything Danni did he always messed up? He wiped his eye with the back of his hand and glared up at Bill. “If you’d just wait a moment before you jump to conclusions!” he snapped in irritation, and rubbed his face with his hands, trying desperately to think of something to say, anything. Surely Bill would understand if Danni told him…no that’d never work. Bill was in a bit of a state now. Danni wished he could give him a massive hug, and kiss him and go back to his dorm with him and talk all night, but he’d messed it up, just like everything else he tried to do. “I don’t understand my feelings anymore…And I just had to go and mess it up didn’t I? I’m sorry this had to happen, and I’d get down on my knees and beg for your forgiveness! But I know you won’t take it…” he frowned, and looked away, his face burning in shame. “I guess I messed up anything that could have come from last night, right?” he frowned, running his hands through his hair, and teasing it slightly, feeling like ripping it right out by the roots.

Bill didn't make a sound as he stood in front of Danni. He wanted to walk away, he wanted to tell the boy to go to hell, but his feet.. and mouth for that matter, were ignoring his commands. He listened to the boy speak and wondered if maybe he should have given him a chance to explain, but at the same time.. he was kissing her. As soon as the thought entered his head, he glanced back toward the red-head. Was Danni playing around with her as well?
Sighing, he closed his eyes and rubbed his temples. He was at a loss for words. One part of him wanting to forget what he'd just seen and the other just really wanted to slap him across the face and run to find Tom. He knew for a fact that Tom would make him feel better; he always did. He opened his eyes and took a deep breath, exhaling slowly. "I don't know. I.. just need to think." It was at this point the he willed his feet to move.

Danni nodded slowly, still not able to look at Bill. It was almost like he was anticipating Bill to strike him; he would deserve it, that’s for sure. He rubbed his hands together, they’d become clammy with a nervous sweat. Danni watched Bill walk away, feeling numb and empty…cold inside. The only thing he felt was terrible loss, and tears pricked his eyes again. He let out a small whimper, biting them back and turning away, walking down the path, not once looking back at Astoria.
A thicket of trees swayed in the gentle breeze that made the grass bow and the leaves rustle was the perfect place for Danni to hide. He turned off the path – after making sure no one was watching – and disappeared into the trees. He sat down on a fallen log, and buried his face in his hands, sobbing silently. His ears felt hot with anger, and he pressed his palms into his eyes, trying to stem the flow of tears. It was hopeless, and he wrapped his arms around his slight form, sniffing like a small child. He shivered, the wind blowing again and caressing his bare arms. Glancing down at his arm, the flash of white scarred skin caught his attention, and he traced the ruler straight lines with a finger, which felt icy cold. A shuddering sigh rushed from his parted lips, and all he could think of was how Bill’s had pressed against his so passionately only a day before.

Bill walked quickly in the direction from which he came. After a minute or so he plopped himself down on a bench, placing his face in his hands. He felt stupid, he should have known better than to act on his feelings. Nothing good ever came out of it so why should he bother? Sighing, he decided he needed to talk to Tom. He was the only one he wanted near him at the moment. Grabbing his sidekick from his pocket, he quickly sent a text. Bill closed his eyes slowly and leaned back against the bench. He was starting to feel sick, like he should try to go find Danni and apologize for over re-acting. Give him a chance to explain. However, he decided against it, knowing that at any second he might say something he'd regret.

Astoria bit her lip awkwardly, leaning back on the bench as she sat back and observed the conversation between Bill and Danni, had she done something wrong? She tucked her hair behind her ears, too afraid to look up at either of them, she didn't want to say anything, she wasn't sure if she could find her voice anyway.
Astoria realised that she was still sitting there on the bench, she hadn't moved an inch, the conversation, well if you could call it that, had ended quite a few minutes ago. She stood up, trying to remember which way Danni had turned. She felt bad, but she didn't know that there was anything going on between this Bill and him. She sighed, she always picked the wrong time to show her feelings.
"Danni?" She called, as she exited the park, her voice sounded sad and nervous.

As he sat waiting for Tom, Bill decided that he didn't want him to come. He needed to do this himself. Whenever something went wrong, he always ran to his brother and had him fight his battles. Sighing, Bill dug out his phone, quickly texing Tom, hoping he hadn't already left. As he did so, he fought with himself over what to do. He finished his message and hit the 'send' button, leaning forward in his seat as he turned the phone over and over in his hands. He groaned as he got up off the bench, having decided to try to find Danni, he pulled out his sidekick, texting him quickly.

The sound of Astoria’s voice was very faint, having been obstructed by the closely packed trees. Danni chose to ignore it, and tipped his head back to gaze forlornly at the sky. When his phone bleeped in his pocket it startled him so much he nearly fell off the log he was sitting on. Scowling darkly he took it out and read the message. It was from Bill, and it was only short. “Fuck off Bill,” he muttered under his breath, but texted back a completely different message. Leaning back on the log, he waited for him to come. He wondered if he should text Astoria too, but decided against it. Danni didn’t even want to breathe the same air as her right now.

Bill had decided to just walk, in hopes of running into Danni while he waited for his reply. If he even decided to reply, that is. Sighing, he stopped to watch some kids playing nearby when he felt his phone vibrate. He grabbed it and quickly opened the message. After reading the words on his screen he felt awful and debated going to the boy, but figured that since he wasn't too far he might as well just do it. He turned in the direction of the little patch of woods and headed over.
Once in front of the trees he stood silently, wondering if maybe he'd made the wrong decision. Taking a deep breath, he waltzed in, looking around for the familiar face. He immediately saw him sitting on a log and shuffled over, standing a few feet away. He stood, just watching Danni, trying to decided what to say. He didn't want to apologize, seeing how he'd done nothing wrong. Sighing, he looked at the ground, "Hey."

Danni sighed deeply, and buried his head in his hands again. When he heard foot steps he looked up, and sure enough, Bill had come. Despite what had happened, Danni still couldn’t resist staring at Bill. Like, really starring. He blinked hard, and looked down at his feet, muddy old converse barely clinging on. He bit his lip, the awkward silence felt tense, like lightning was building up in them.
When Bill spoke, Danni got goose-bumps, and he clenched his fists involuntarily, clenching his teeth. He daren’t look up at him, for fear his expression would be the last knife in his chest. Taking slow, deep breaths he slowly looked up at Bill from under his eyelashes, and he snapped. He could no longer control his sobs, and he folded in on himself, his head resting on his knees and his arms tucked in to his chest. It was useless, he couldn’t stop himself. He didn’t want Bill to see him cry, but he felt so torn by what he’d done. He looked up at Bill again, eyes full of pain. “I’m sorry Bill! Please don’t hate her! She didn’t know!” he sobbed, and wiped his eyes irritably, and slowly the sobs melted away to quiet sniffling.

Bill continued to stand awkwardly under the trees and slowly brought his eyes up. He watched as Danni broke down and felt his stomach twist. He hated making anyone cry, even if they deserved it. Biting his lip, Bill took a few steps forward before stopping, not wanting to get too close. He opened his mouth to speak but closed it again quickly, choosing to bite his nails instead. He really had no clue what to say.
Watching in silence, Bill noticed the pained look in Danni's eyes as they made contact. he let out a loud sigh and took another step closer. He could feel his anger flaring again, thinking Danni was just trying to make him feel bad. He sighed as he placed a hand on his hip, trying to keep his voice soft, "I don't hate her; I don't know her. And like you said, she didn't know. But.. you did." Bill closed his eyes and threw his head back, as if to look at the sky, "Why wou.. never mind. Was there even anything there, or were you just fooling around, the other night.."

Danni clenched his fists together, angry with himself for being so pathetic. He wiped his eyes again, and stared up at Bill, his mind going blank. It was filled with Bill’s face, so smooth and perfect, so alarmingly feminine. The anger that swelled there made Danni feel scared, made him feel so wretched he just wanted to crawl into a hole and die. “I know I didn’t…She was leaning in and I just - Oh! It’s no excuse I know! I didn’t know what I was doing, I feel horrible…” he trailed off, defending himself would be hopeless and he knew it. Bill asked him about the other night, and he thought his heart had stopped. He shook his head, his mouth open uselessly. “No,” he said breathlessly, and he just wanted to get up and hug him, make him feel better. He doubted that’d be the best way to go about it, and he looked down at the floor - not before taking a detour down Bill’s body - and stared at the leaf mould beneath his feet.
A song came to his head, and right now he really wished he could sing. Instead, he just muttered pathetically, “Seeing you like this, just makes me want to die.” It wasn’t the most convincing sentence in the world, but he’d give himself points for trying.

Bill listened as Danni tried to come up with an excuse for his behaviour. Just because he trusted people easily, didn't mean they could be easily forgiven. He shuffled forward and sat on the other end of the log, stretching his long legs out in front of him. He looked down and started picking at his nails. At this point, he was just trying not to pull his usual over-dramatic routine of running away while yelling. Taking a deep breath, he glanced over quickly.
After a moment of sitting in silence, something clicked in Bill's mind. He remembered that when Danni had sat down at Starbucks he had been nervous of someone seeing them together. All of a sudden, it made complete sense. He hurriedly stood up and started to pace. He turned his head in Danni's direction, frowning, "At Starbucks you said something about a girl seeing us.. was that her.." Suddenly, Bills eyes went wide and he felt sick. He stopped his pacing and placed both hands on his hips, a confused look gracing his features, "Was there something between you two.. am I the..... other person?"

Danni went stiff when Bill sat next to him, and was sure he began to sweat. He twisted his fingers together nervously, feeling a tension between them like a wall. It was weird, Danni had expected Bill to be the kind of person who made a massive soap-opera out of it, but he was surprisingly calm. He dared a peek from under his hair at the older boy, watching him pick his nails, and felt a touch of colour creep to his face. He looked away instantly, now was not the time to start going all starry eyed over Bill.
When Bill began to pace, Danni’s leg twitched nervously like that time in Starbucks. People pacing made him unreasonably nervous, and he clenched his teeth, trying to resist yelling at him to stop. Bill’s words cut through him like a knife, he himself hadn’t even noticed but it seemed that was the way it was… “I…I never thought of it like that…” he muttered, trying to imagine how Bill felt now, and where that left him standing. He fidgeted awkwardly, and glanced up at Bill, glad he’d stopped pacing. “I guess…Nothing really happened between us before but…It was there,” he said softly, barely audible. It did seem Bill was the one Danni had been cheating with, if it could even be called that. Danni had never kissed Astoria before, and he’d only known Bill for a few days but…He sighed deeply, it was so confusing. Looking up at Bill from under his eyelashes, he frowned as if to say ‘please, fill me in on where I stand now,’ but Danni wasn’t sure he could convey so many words through his eyes alone. Maybe his hands…his lips…Danni shrugged off the thought, but it was so hard not to get totally absorbed in Bill’s face.

"At least you're honest." Bill snapped, he felt awful, he'd never been the "other person". The look Danni was giving him, however, made him instantly regret the tone he'd used. He slowly made his way over, sitting himself next to Danni, closer this time.
He had so many questions he wanted to throw at the boy. He bit his lip and picked at his fingers some more. Sighing, he looked directly at Danni, "I like you." He'd decided he would start by stating the obvious, "I wouldn't have ran off if I didn't. I'm not one to give people second chances.. but, I just.. Was.. is it still there?"
ooc: it's so short! sorry =(

It was quite clear what the answer to Bill’s question was going to be. Danni shook his head firmly, glancing at Bill. “No…I was actually getting to that bit before she…” he didn’t want to say it, like bringing it up again would upset him. Danni took a deep breath, resting his chin in his hands. “I’d tried to kiss her but Chris came in just as I was about to…and I stormed off, I was really frustrated. Then I met you. I’d never looked at her and felt the way I do when I look at you. She really isn’t my type. I don’t know what I was thinking. I was really worried she still thought I liked her, and I was going to tell her that I wasn’t interested anymore when…yeah…” he finished his ‘story’ staring straight ahead into the trees, the presence of Bill ever pressing on him. He glanced down, his toes curling and uncurling nervously behind the muddy black canvas of his shoes. His cheeks felt stiff with tears, and was sure his make-up had run all down his face. What a pretty sight he would be.
