Alex looked away, pretending not to know what Joe was talking about, but he gave in soon enough.
"Well..." He started, "It just so happens, that wonderful face of mine did work" He said smugly. He hadn't told anybody that he had asked Dakota out, seeing as it had only just happened. He had just decided to act normal, to avoid the teasing he knew he would get from his friends.

"Oh it did, did it?" Joe said joking around with him. Looks like he finally made his move. He leaned over and whispered something in his ear. "Dakota. Am I correct?" He asked.

Alex nodded subtly, "Perfectly well as well" He grinned, bending down to fiddle with his laces. He looked up at Joe, "Doesn't mean you have to say anything..." He said with a smile, wondering what Joe would say to embarrass him.

"I'm not going to. don't worry about it." Joe said with a smile covering his face. He would embarrass him, just not at this point in time. He looked up at the sky to see the birds flying overhead, and chirping madlessly.

Alex raised his eyebrows, "Sure you won't" He said through a laugh, "Ah doesn't matter, anyway" he said, folding his arms over his head, "I'm proud I actually managed to do it" He said a wide grin on his face, "You should be proud of me too" He joked.

"I'm full of proudness just for you!" He yelled at him, joking around. He started laughing at him as he crossed his arms at his chest leaning against the bench. "So when did you do it?"

Alex smiled, "Good good" He said, leaning forward, his hands together.
"Umm... last night" he explained, sweeping his hand through his thick hair, and looking away, watching a few guys ride by on their skates.

"Good for you man." Joe said congratulating him with a pat on the back. He rolled his eyes as he stood up, stretching his legs. "So what happened between you two? I know you didn't just ask her out. " He said to him.

"Hey!" Alex said automatically, he laughed, "Nothing happened between us..." He said, watching Joe as he stood up. "Why would you think that?" He said with a smirk, looking shocked.
He shook his head, "Anyways, got your eyes set on anyone yet?"

He sat up straight, one leg over the other knee, "Oh really?" He then said, this time his turn to smirk, "Spill"

"It's Rachel." Joe said sighing. He knew that Alex was telling the truth so he had to give him the same thing. "You tell anyone and I will embarrass you." He said.

Alex grinned widely, "Aww" He teased, now getting his own back. "I knew there was more to this 'just friends' lark" He laughed, quoting the 'just friends' with his fingers.
"Does she like you back?" He asked, now interested in the topic.
He smiled innocently, "Do you think I would tell?" He said, then seriously he added, "I won't if you wanna keep it on the low down"

"I don't know. " Joe said shrugging his shoulder. Does she like me? He thought to himself as he spaced out. "You might... " Joe said with a grin."Yeah, keep it on the down low for now." Joe told him as he saw a squrriel(SP) jump into the next to Alex.

"Rachel..." Alex said, going over the name in his head, "I've only met her once, seems quite nice" He said, winking at Joe, he pushed the argument that Dakota and Rachel had had to the back of his head.
"Nah, I won't tell mate" He then added, jumping when he noticed the small rodent beside me. He shuffled over on his seat, he wasn't really an animal person.
