Like an outcast you're out on your own. Smash is the way you deal with your life, like an outcast you're smashing your strife.
Pushing his way into the boy’s bathrooms, he went round the corner to where the sinks were and sat down on a reasonably dry looking patch on the counter. Pulling out the photo, he debated looking at it. He realised no one was going to come in for a while, so he tentatively glanced down. The image seemed to burn into the back of his mind, pushing out everything else and making him face the truth. He’d abandoned everything he’d loved, and everything he was responsible for, and then left Irja to pick up the pieces. Sighing, he looked away, lost in thought. His stomach throbbed from where Alex had hit him, and the blood from Alex’s nose was still on his hand. Getting up, he put the photo away and washed his hands in the sink, and inspected his shirt. There were a few splats of blood, but he daren’t try to wash them off in case it made it worse.

Maxxie had managed to escape his History lesson by complaining he felt sick; this though was a complete lie. He was actually just bored out of his brain; who really wanted to sit in a stuffy dingy classroom, the paint on the walls dull and boring, with the old history teacher, Mr Binns droning on about Nazi Germany.
He pushed open the doors to the boys bathrooms, not expecting anyone else to be in there, this was the perfect oppurtunity to have a sneaky smoke. Although everyone thought he'd quit, dancers weren't supposed to smoke, but what the hell. A tall guy was standing by the sinks, and Maxxie knew from teh back of his head, this was Ryuu. "Yo" He said cheerfully, not noticing the slight saddened expression on the boys face. "What you doing in here? Had a bust up?" He said, smiling slightly, he could probably guess who Ryuu had argued with.
ooc;; i haven't roleplayed in ages so i thought id reply to something (: is it okay if i join? its not like i can write anything decent. aha. i need to get back into it...

Ryuu sighed, and was about to pick up his bag and leave when someone came in. He jumped in surprise, and looked round. Smiling at Maxxie, he decided to pull himself back up onto the counter instead, inspecting the blood on his shirt. “Mmm. Yup,” he mumbled. It sort of hurt to breath at the moment, Alex may not look it, but he really packed one hell of a punch. Shrugging, he twined his fingers, his right hand still felt slightly tacky with the remnants of blood. “Besides, I don’t think geography’s going to cheer me up much,” he laughed shortly, but it wasn’t a happy laugh. It was bitter, his anger still lingering from the argument with Alex. They were studying Europe in geography, and he knew that he was one of the only pupils in that set that came from a European country. And quite frankly, Ryuu wasn’t in the mood for answering questions about the ‘wonderful’ Dijon. Sure, it was pretty, but it didn’t have any massive mountain ranges or canyons or huge waterfalls like America did. “A better question, what are you doing in here?” he asked, leaning forwards and swinging his legs slightly, tapping his hands on the counter.
[That’s perfectly fine ^_^ Irja was going to reply but…she won’t >__. lol.]

Maxxie pushed the sleeves of his black hoody up to his elbows, and stepped over to the sinks. "Got sick of History" He answered, pulling a face, he couldn't even remember why he had decided to take that subject for senior year. "...and Binns lectures on Germanys disapproval of the Treaty of Versailles.. or something..." He muttered, pushing with his hands on the counter so he was sat beside Ryuu.
"Please tell me you squished the emo snob?" He laughed, but noticed Ryuu didn't look very happy, and his cheerful mood was probably not making whatever was wrong, any better. "So..." He said, folding his arms and leaning against the mirror behind the sinks, "Why are you really here?" Surely there must be another reason he looked so miserable, Maxxie could tell.
ooc;; you sure?

Ryuu smiled faintly, it wasn’t like Maxxie to bunk. “I’m so glad I dropped history. Binns bored me to tears,” he laughed, pretending to wipe his eye of said bored tears. The name ‘Versailles’ sounded familiar, and he pondered it, a concentrated look on his face. Oh yeah, the palace. “I’ve been to Versailles. Most boring place ever,” he rolled his eyes. France was boring, the whole bloody country was full of snobs who ate cheese and baguettes all day and moaned about all the other countries.
“Yes I squished ‘emo snob’,” he laughed slightly, making quotation marks in the air. Ryuu was glad he wasn’t the only one who thought that way about Alex. In his opinion, Alex was just some rich kid who thought he could get cool by spending all his money in Hot topic and on Kerang magazines. Still tapping his fingers, he sighed. Maxxie was far too good at telling when people weren’t telling the truth. “How come being your lab partner suddenly makes you able to tell when I’m not saying the whole story?” he asked sceptically, wondering if Maxxie knew him more than he was letting on. “I’m…Not…fine,” he sighed, running a hand through his greasy hair. He didn’t expand, or bother taking out the photograph. He seriously didn’t want to talk about it, he was feeling down and out as it was. “Mr Perfect Alex decided that it’d be a good idea to bring up my family and use it against me in his stupid argument,” he grumbled, tapping incessantly.

"I've never been to France..." Maxxie said with a shrug, so he couldn't really offer his opinion of that matter. "But I'll take your word for it" He said with a grin.
Maxxie nodded, he'd noticed the blood, and guessed it was Alex, because Ryuu didn't look physically hurt. Well he wasn't bleeding. He pushed his sleeves up to his elbows again as they slid down his skinny, but muscular arms. "Chemistry involves reactions" He grinned, shuffling slightly so his back wasn't against the steel taps.
Swinging his legs like a four year old would do, Maxxie replied with "You shouldn't let his shitty comments get to you Ry, Alex obviously knew the subject was sensitive..." He said trailing off.
"You feeling upset cause you left?" He asked, not really knowing why Ryuu was so upset; although he wasn't showing it. He didn't really know the full story of Ryuu's past, but he knew Ryuu probably wasn't up to explaining and Maxxie knew it wasn't his place to ask.

Ryuu rolled his eyes as if to say ‘lucky you’ when Maxxie said he’d never been to France. Ryuu wasn’t exactly the most patriotic man in the world, and wouldn’t really mind if he never saw that country again. However, he did sort of miss his house. His bedroom had the most fantastic view over the family stud farm and the vineries beyond. It was an West facing window, so every night, before he went out, he’d have a quick smoke whilst watching the sun set. He sighed in reminisce, and turned his gaze up to the ceiling.
Raising his eyebrow at Maxxie’s Chemistry comment, he blushed delicately. Was Maxxie flirting with him? He couldn’t be sure, but Ryuu just couldn’t help himself when his heart beat increased a little and his stomach fluttered. “O-oh really?” he tried to sound unfazed, but it didn’t really work.
“I know, I know…But he was acting like he knew everything. I mean … I know I can’t blame him for not knowing the truth but…” he trailed off, not really sure what ‘buts’ there were to say.
Sighing, he shook his head firmly, resting a hand on his pocket. He wanted to look at the picture again. Maybe just by staring at it he’d find out something more about his son. “Not at all. It’s the best thing I’ve ever done. Not that there was much competition for that…but I really do miss my cracky friends. And I’m pissed that Irja decided to find me. Stupid prick,” he ran his hands through his hair again, and closed his eyes for a moment, thinking back.

Maxxie grinned at him, he wasn't even sure if that comment had supposed to mean anything himself, maybe it just sounded that way. But Maxxie wasn't exactly going to correct himself, he pretty much flirted with anyone. Well not everyone... He nodded, "In Chemistry we study Chemical reactions... yes?" he said, with a smile. He shook his hand, as if to say 'anywho'.
"When does he not act like that" He laughed, Maxxie and Alex really didn't get along, ever since Freshman year, the two had been English partners, and their personalities clashed completely. Thank God Alex had dropped the subject.
He shot Ryuu a sympathetic look, he could half understand how he was feeling; Maxxie missed his old friends, but he was much happier at Watson. He still had Tony, and everyone else. "Well, maybe there is another reason your brother turned up here?" He suggested, "I don't know much about you and Claire, I don't want to like impose or whatever.." He said with a small smile, "But surely Irja can't be mad at you, he's just repeated your actions right? Seeing as he moved here too..." Max wasn't even sure if he was making sense, but in his head that did, he didn't know the history between Ryuu and Irja, but they could work it out between them. Surely?
ooc; ha. this doesnt make much sense (:

Ryuu shrugged, reaching into his bag and pulling out a cigarette and a lighter. Drawing lightly on the cigarette, his eyes drooped tiredly. Smoke coiled up from the end of his cigarette, getting sucked towards the rattling fan mounted near the ceiling. “I’ve never understood my brother. He tries to be the mother we’ve never had, I think,” he looked thoughtful, mulling over things he’d never really stopped to think about before, because he’d never really been very mature before. Even though Ryuu still acted childish, he had grown up considerably since he last saw Irja. Maybe they would be able to get along better now there wasn’t such a mental age gap? Ryuu couldn’t be sure, but one thing he was sure of was that Irja was going to try and drag him back to Dijon. “Irja’s motives usually revolve around putting me in my place,” he laughed bitterly, “So I guess he’s got a one way ticket back to Dijon for me,” shrugging again, he tipped back his head and blew messy smoke rings. “Irja’s always mad at me,” he said, like it was something that everyone knew and if they didn’t, they really should.
[more sense than mine does >___.]

"Thought you quit?" Maxxie said, as Ryuu lit a cigarette, he didn't have anything against smoking, because he himself did, but he was just pointing out something. It was hard to stop smoking, especially once you've started.
"I know your brother cares about you and everything, but you're both what eighteen, so shouldn't you be able to lead your own lifes..." He said, mainly to himself because he was thinking aloud. But that seemed to make sense to him.
Rolling his sleeves up for the third time, Maxxie replied with, "He can't force you to go back" not if Ryuu didn't let him, and if the two didn't get along very well then why did Irja want him to come back home, but Maxxie didn't know the full story. "So have you spoken to him properly since he arrived here?" He asked, flicking the metal tap with his fingers, and looking across at Ryuu.
ooc; meh (:
