All you have to do is call my name No matter how close or far away ask me once, and I'll come, I'll come running. and when I can't be with you, dream me near Keep me in your heart and I'll appear
Kassidy walked into the cafeteria, a bag of food in her hand. She wasn't a picky eatter, but school food, that wasn't something she was about to eat. She found a table and walked over to it and sat down. Kassidy opened her bag and started pulling out the food that she had. She pulled out a bag of chips, and a bowl with a fruit salad in it, a coke, and a few more sweets.
Before eating, Kassidy pulled back her hair, letting her bangs fall in her face, but keeping the rest pulled back. She was dressed in a pink shirt with a white skirt and pink flip flops. Kassidy opened her fruit salad first and slowly, started eating it.
Her eyes scanned the cafeteria as she did so, looking for someone who was not only familiar, but also worth talking too. She let a sigh escaped pass her lips and rolled her eyes. It was lunch and not one of her friends were to be seen. Kassidy would tell them her opinion later on when she felt like it.
She finished chewing that bite, and continued eating, slowly. She then opened her coke and took a sip of it before placing it back on the table. Tomorrow she'd probably sneak off somewhere and eat, because even though this food was better then the schools, it didn't fill her up very well.
Kassidy then noticed someone place their tray on her table. She looked up, noticing it wasn't someone she would talk too. One glare from her and they left without a glance back at her. Kassidy had no idea why people had the urge to talk to her, knowing they wouldn't get a second glance from her. She figured her features decieved her, making her look like a nice person.
Anyone who knew her, would know this was not so. Kassidy would be about the sweetest angle to you if you were a friend or family memeber, but they too, even got a good yelling every now and then. Kassidy looked around once more, yet still, no one she cared to talk to was to be seen.

A long day had just about worn the young Sophomore down to tears. The first two lesions before break where double maths - a subject he found difficult and frustrating. Not to mention the nasty guys he was forced to sit next to, who would incessantly prod his legs with compass points, whispering evil comments in his ear. After the ten minuet brake he had Physics, followed by double PE. He hated both. The teachers were pricks, none of his class mates talked to him and he hardly enjoyed the subject anyway. After grabbing his school lunch, he stalked over to the table furthest from the other Sophomores and slammed his tray down.
It was only after he’d finished half his sandwich, and had looked up to take a sip from his juice carton that he noticed he was sitting opposite to another person. Blushing, he looked away, trying to hide behind his messy hair. After that didn’t work, he felt himself blushing even more, but he daren’t stand up and leave. That’d be rude. “I-I’m sorry, I didn’t see you there,” he said quietly, peering at the girl cautiously. She looked pretty, with long honey blonde hair and large grey-blue eyes, but it didn’t stir any feelings of admiration. He was just feeling incredibly embarrassed. “I can leave, if you want,” he added a bit louder than before. It was now apparent that his voice hadn’t yet broken, giving his voice a feminine sound to match his features. He tensed up like he really wanted to run away like a frightened deer. He certainly looked like one, with wide, nervous eyes and tense body.

Kassidy looked up as she saw someone sit across from her. He didn't seem to notice her, which was new to her. She just sat there, looking at him. Kassidy didn't know whether or not to think the guy was cool enough to talk to because he hadn't noticed her or if she should be ticked.
After he was nearly done eating he looked up at her. She smiled as he blushed. There was always something about a blush that hit peoples face that made her smile. "Its fine. You can stay, I don't mind." she told him. The kid looked younger then her and she didn't wanna make him move. He looked like he had a rough day anyways. "I am Kassidy by the way." she told him, being nice as possible.

Was she annoyed that he had ignored her at first? He hadn’t meant to … if he had seen her there he would have steered well clear. Rubbing the sore patch on his leg where he’d gotten prodded with a compass for over an hour, he smiled weakly. “Thanks,” he said, as he jabbed the bendy straw into his juice carton and sipped at it quietly, watching the older girl in a sort of curiosity. The way she held herself made him seem she was probably a popular kind of girl; the clothes gave that away too. Wondering what she thought of him just by his clothes and hair, he concluded that she probably thought he was an emo. Putting down the juice carton, he looked at his nails, trying to ignore the awkward feeling that rose up whenever he met someone knew. There was bright red acrylic paint still lurking under his nails, and he frowned at it. It looked like blood or something. Yellow paint was nestled between the nail and skin at the side, and there was a green patch on the back of his hand that hadn’t quite rubbed off. He loved art, but he always seemed to get himself in a huge mess.
“I’m Hart,” he smiled a little, and ran his hand through his hair nervously, before taking another bite of his sandwich - if only to prolong the silence between them. Hart hated meeting new people. It made him nervous and embarrassed, which made him blush. He hated blushing, it was embarrassing, and thus a vicious cycle ensued. He wondered if Kassidy thought he fancied her, or he was just weird, because he was blushing. That certainly wasn’t the case, and the thought that he might be giving off signs that he did like her made him blush again. He sank down a bit in his seat, hiding his bright eyes behind his face, and sipping his juice again.

Kassidy continued eating her food slowly. She was watching him. The blush never seemed to leave his cheeks. She watched him study his nails, which made her eyes scan over him. Kassidy figured he wasn't popular, cause she never saw a guy wear clothes like that if he was. Kassidy usually didn't talk to people out her clique, but figured he was cool enough to talk too.
She let a sigh escape her lips. "Well its nice to meet you Hart. I haven't seen you around and you kind of look like these two kids in my grade." she said, studying his face. "Well sorta, then there is a noticeable difference too." she said with a shrug.
A laugh escaped past her lips as he sunk down in his chair and the blush stayed on his cheeks. "You must be shy." Kassidy concluded. "Don't worry, I don't bite." she paused. "Often." Kassidy added, with a teasing tone. Most people said she was a b*tch and she knew she could be, so she said that to people sometimes, just to see what they would do.

Hart looked up when she said he looked like some kids in her grade. “I look like a senior?” he sounded puzzled, and glanced around like he expected to see an older clone of himself walk around. He thought for a moment, before it clicked. “Oh! You mean my brother and sister?” he tilted his head to one side, so that his messy hair wasn’t in his eye. He hadn’t spoken to Holly or Aaron properly for a while. Holly was like his best friend, and they told each other everything. Right now he could do with just curling up on the sofa watching bad television with her like they used to. But now…he wondered if she would want to be seen with her dorky brother now she had ‘cool’ friends. Aaron…well he wasn’t sure about Aaron. His older brother teased him a lot about being girly, but Hart never knew weather to take him seriously or not. He usually did, because Hart has a bad habit of taking things to heart and getting upset about it.
Blushing again, he cursed in his head. He hadn’t expected her to ‘bite’ anyway. And her wise ass comment made him curious. “Why would you want to bite? I’m not hurting anyone,” he looked up at her with big, innocent eyes. Was she trying to intimidate him? If she was, it was sure as hell working.

Kassidy laughed as the kid asked if he looked like a senior. Maybe she should have said it differently. Finally, though, the boy understood what she meant. "Oh your brother and sister. Well that explains a lot." she told him, with a slight nod of her head.
Kassidy knew the two people that looked like him, though she had no clue what the guys name was, just the girl. "Whats your brothers name?" she asked him. "I know what he looks like, I just can't remember his name." she said, shrugging a bit. She knew his brother was cute, but not cute enough for her to remember his name. Now Hart's sister, she looked pretty cool to hang out with, hence why she remembered her name.
Kassidy smiled as Hart looked at her and said his remark. "I know, but I just wanted to see if you'd jump up and run." she said with a smirk. "Most usually run when I say 'I dont bite'." said Kassidy. The girl never thought of herself as intimidating. A bitch yeah that she knew. Kassidy looked down at her food, picking up a small piece of fruit and placing it in her mouth. Slowly she chewed on it, looking up at Hart as she did so. Kassidy didn't realize how her earlier comment and now her eating, might make him think.

Hart smiled pathetically at his own cluelessness. He couldn’t help being a little…slow…He was a nice guy, but he certainly wasn’t a bright one. “My brother? Err, Aaron,” he mumbled over the word, still avoiding Kassidy’s gaze. He tapped his feet nervously, and glanced at her for a moment. He wasn’t getting the vibes that she was the kind of person he’d get on with. She was popular, aloof in her status. Frowning slightly, he sipped his drink again.
“So…you just like to scare younger pupils?” he asked, sounding perfectly reasonable. He’d really like to mouth her off right now, tell her to stop being so up herself or what ever. People like her really ticked him off and he couldn’t place a reason why. They just did.

If I had to run, if I had to crawl if I had to swim a hundred rivers, just to climb a thousand walls just to get to where you are, there's no place, that far.
Kassidy nodded her head, "Aaron, what an insteresting name." she said. Hart seemed a bit unsure of himself to her, and that kind of made him, an easy tease or bait in her eyes. She gave him a slightly evil smile, though he probably didn't notice considering he wasn't looking at her. Kassidy leaned over the table some, propping herself up on her elbows.
She wanted to answer his question, but at the moment couldn't cause it was funny to her. She then looked at him, a serious look on her face. "No, its just, I am a bitch and well, most people realize that, hence why I said it." she told him. "If I wanted to scary you, trust me, you would have been long gone by now." said Kassidy.
Hart had now pissed her off with his question and the way he looked at her. For most, that wasn't a good thing, because she would yell and make a scene. It never embarrassed her and others were use to seeing her yell, but it was the person she was yelling at that they weren't use to seeing. Kassidy looked around the room, a few kids were staring at them and when she looked at them, they turned their heads.
