“I bet you would get defensive too if I started accusing you of being a lesbian.” Chase grinned broadly, meaning that he was only messing around and wasn’t actually hurt by her comment. Okay, maybe he was a little bit. But not a whole lot.
Chase laughed, as she looked down at the floor. “Don’t act so modest.” He remarked, mirroring her and taking a little sip of his soda. There was something special about Hayley. Something that made her very likeable, way too fast for Chase’s liking.
“Good, wouldn’t it be a shame if you hated me. There would be no fun.” Chase chuckled, crossing his arms. The food on his tray was gone, besides a stray burnt French fry. “I’ll prove it, don’t you worry.” He replied, uncrossing his arms and grabbing the drink of the table in front of him. He was oddly thirsty, and his drink was running out. Maybe he would offer to buy Hayley something the next time he went up to get seconds.

Hayley shrugged slightly. "Maybe I am a lesbian." She looked at him seriously. "But I'm not. So it's okay." She smiled at him softly. There was something about him that made her want to get to know him more, and just be with him. Like, want to hang out with him more.
She heard him say not to be modest, and felt her cheeks get even redder. "I'm not being modest." She picked up her soda, and drank the last of it. She frowned when she realized that her drink was almost completely gone. She drank the last of it and threw it in a trash can that was about 5 feet behind her.
"Oh would it now?" She paused, raising one eyebrow at him. "Why is that? I mean, if I hated you, no one would call you gay." She smiled at him, a slight blush still lingering on her cheeks. "You will, will you? And how do you plan on proving that?"

Chase wrinkled his forehead and nose. Hayley didn't seem like the lesbian type. No, not at all. She seemed well, straight. I mean, the girl was flirting with Chase! "Good, because if you liked girls..." He started to say, deciding to stop before he rambled on.
"Yes you are. Shush." Chase laughed, looking down at her empty drink. "You want something?" He asked, gesturing to the cup. "Mine's empty and so is yours. How convenient. I'll but it for you, Hayley." A smile appearing on his face.
"I don't know how I'll prove it. I haven't figured that much out yet." He laughed, rubbing his head. "You're making me think to hard. I don't like thinking, unless I'm in school. Not that I like doing it there either." He commented, shaking his head up and down. "It's true!" Chase laughed.

She raised one eyebrow at him for what seemed the 100th time that night. "If I liked girls what?" She let a slight smile find it's way to her lips, and let her eyes meet his.
"Noooo. I'm for sure not. I'm never modest." She smirked at him. But then, hearing him offer to buy something for her, the smirk turned into a smile. "If you insist." She felt another blush rise up onto her cheeks, still smiling.
She laughed at him. "I don't think anyone really likes thinking about people calling them gay." She smiled at him again, suddenly feeling a little shyer. Was she starting to have a little crush on him? No waaaay. Never.

Chase laughed as Hayley raised her eyebrow, like she always did when he said something slightly weird or strange. But this time, the laugh was more of a nervous kind, then any. "Um," Chase said, looking down at the floor, "That would be a shame?"
"I insist." Chase grinned, standing up. "Would you like to join me?" He asked, lending her his hand, to help her stand.
"Well probably not, if they arn't gay. It's kind of an insult, don't you think?" Chase replied, chuckling a bit. Hayley was exteremly cute, and funny. Oh and she seemed seemingly interested. Which was a good thing. A very, very good thing.

She couldn't help but laugh at him when he looked down at the ground and got all nervous and stuff. "It would be a shame? A shame for what?" She knew exactly what he meant, it was just really fun to mess with him.
She smiled at him, taking his hand and standing up. She felt the blush in her cheeks get hotter and quickly looked down at the ground. But she didn't pull her hand away just yet. "So.. Where to?"
She shrugged. "I guess it depends if your gay or not. And I'm hoping you take it as an insult, in that case." She smiled at him again. For the past 30 minutes or so, it seemed like she couldn't get the smile off her face.

Chase felt his cheeks blush, as she asked the question. He did not want to answer, oh not at all. Awkward much? "A shame for you to like girls not guys. It wouldn't give me any chances!" Chase winked, but quickly looking away.
Feeling her hand touch his, Chase felt chills go up his spin. It was an incredible feeling, yet creepy at the same time. What did that exactly mean? He didn't want to let go of her soft hand, so he kept holding on. "Hmm..." Chase said, trying to think, but too much was going on inside his head at the moment. "You just want a soda? Smoothie? Or what?" Chase asked, glancing over at her.
"I'm straight. Very, very straight." Chase insisted, shaking his head up and down. "No curves here." He grinned, at his cheesy words.

Hayley smiled at him, watching him blush. "Oh really? What makes you think you have a chance now?" She shot a smile at him, to let him know she was kidding. Of course she was kidding. He could have all the chances he wanted. (:
She took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down. "Uh.. I don't care. Whatever you want is fine." She dropped their hands to her side, but didn't let go. As much as she wanted to pull away from all the butterflies in her tummy, she couldn't bring herself to pull away.
She put one hand on his waist, pretending to examine it. "Nope. I think you have a few curves there. Maybe not as much as me, but they're there." Of course, she was probably the least curvy girl in the world, but that didn't matter. XD

Chase kept his smile upon his face, even though the comment may have been harsh, but he knew that Hayley was just kidding around. "Um, because.. I don't know. Because you'll give them to me?" Chase laughed nervoulsy.
Chase nearly fell over, spazzed out and died when Hayley touched his side. She was a quick one xD "Oh c'mon, tell me you're not one of those girls who thinks that they are fat and really are NOT even close so it!" Chase asked, squeezing her hand just a bit.

She looked up at him, smiling. "You can have all the chances you want." She bit her lip nervously. She hadn't ever been this nervous around any guy. Even her one and only real boyfriend. This feeling was slightly new. But she liked it.
She shook her head. "I'm a dang stick. I hate it. I wish I had more curves and what not. But instead, I got stuck with the no boobs and no ass stick body." She felt him squeeze her hand and blushed slightly. She was pretty sure that if someone felt her pulse just about now, it'd be racing. XD

Chase liked the way she looked at him. She seemed nervous, yet calm. An odd combination, but that's what he saw. "I'll remember that..." Chase nodded, placing a permanent note in his head. Believe me, he would never forget it.
"That's fine with me." Chase smiled slightly, color appearing on his cheeks. A cherry red shade. Now wasn't that just too cute? "You look good just the way you are..." His voice trailed off. Chase really didn't want to freak Hayley out. I mean, there was a big chance that she didn't even like him in the first place. But then again, Hayley sure was flirting a lot. But, Chase didn't mind.

"Oh, really?" She paused, raising one eyebrow at him. "I'm never going to remind you." She grinned at him, looking down at the ground slightly.
She saw him blush and laughed slightly. "Your blushing." She pinched his cheeks slightly, laughing. Hearing what he said next, it was her turn to blush. She looked down at her feet, her cheeks a cherry red color.

"Don't worry. There's no reason to remind me..." Chase grinned, almost too happy for a second. This feeling, of happiness, hadn't been in his body since that night with Avery. Well before the yelling match began. Oh God. What was he getting himself into?
"Me? Blusing? Nah, it's just hot in here." Chase laughed nervously, drumming his fingers on his leg. He felt her hand brush up against his cheek, as the girl lightly pinced him. "Hey!" He glanced up at Hayley, and then looked back down, for she was blushing as well. Chase wasn't sure what to say. He didn't want to screw anything up between the two... and Chase had such a way with words these days.

She laughed at him. "And why exactly don't I have to remind you? Do you not want me to remind you?" She raised one eyebrow at him. She was just joking with him, once again. She knew it might bug him a little, but she was surprisingly okay with that.
"Oh whatever! You're totally blushing. Don't even try to deny it." She sighed awkwardly. Was it just her, or had things just gotten a bit more awkward. It was probably just her, seeing as things with guys were almost always awkward when it came to her. She was never really sure what to say, or do around them.

Chase grinned and answered Hayley's question. "Oh, don't you worry. I'll never forget." Chase thought Hayley was the cutest person ever. She had an amazing sense of humor.. which was well, very atractive.
"Oh whatever." Chase laughed, trying to lift the akward atmosphere. "We're both blushing fools. That's all." He looked up at her. Hopefully he had made things a whole lot better, instead of a whole lot worse. Chase didn't always have a way with words...
