The library was a great place to come when you need to think things through, and thats where Alex Bradley had decided to spend his afternoon. After seeing Dakota the other day he'd been certain he was finally happy, he loved her and she loved him. But for some reason, he was feeling more like his old self then usual.
The few beers he'd drunk that afternoon wasn't helping, he couldn't think straight. Maybe it was because, being Alex he was having withdrawal symptoms to something him and Dakota had yet to do. But that was stupid.
He walked into the quiet library, the sound of turning pages the only noise around. Heading over to the window he glanced around hoping to see a friendly face, he thought he noticed Chloe over by the window. But he wasn't to sure. He hadn't spoken to his ex in a while, and they hadn't exactly left on a good foot.
ooc; meh. lame but i have to like swap computers so i had to rush this (:

Chloe had been bored all day and she didn't have a clue what she wanted to do. She knew she had homework due for tomorrow but she couldn't care less, she really wasn't the type for doing all her homework. She claimed she had better things to do, like something to do with art. She appreciated all the arts from music to dance to just plain art and you would always find Chloe doodling or drawing or something all the time whenever she was bored and she was bored alot of the time. That's what she decided to do, something arty. She wanted to do some more drawings for her dorm wall which was already covered in her drawings and designs. She grabbed her art folder with most of the things she would need inside and headed to the library, at least she could get some peace and quiet in there to do some drawings or just continue to be bored but in silence. This is a strange contradiction though beacuse Chloe is not really a person for being quiet, she can be quite loud and outspoken alot. She entered the library and sat down near to the window where the light was best for drawing and she pulled her things out and started randomly drawing anything and she was drawing silly little hearts all over her paper of different shapes and sizes and colouring some in and some not. As the library was really quiet as lot of the time Chloe's head shot up when she heard somebody coming in. She looked up to see Alex, looking as gorgeous as ever. She really had nothing against him anymore, she had moved on forgotten bout him for a while, but she always showed that she didn't like him much on the outside.

It was Chloe. Alex had to double take because he couldn't remember her with blonde hair, he'd forgotten she'd died it from brown, he'd also forgotten how pretty she actually was. But Dakota was beautiful. He walked casually over to her table, pulling out the chair opposite her and occupying himself. He knew this confrontation might seem strange to others because according to the rest of the school, these two didn't speak, but one little conversation wouldn't hurt right?
"I forgot how obsessed with drawing you were..." He chuckled lightly, as he looked over at her sketch pad which was open at a random page she had covered in hearts. He had the sudden urge to say a cocky remark, but decided against that. He ran a hand through his hair, "Your hair looks nice by the way" He pointed out, but added quickly, "Don't bite my head off, just saying..." with his infamous smirk upon his pale face.
Seeing Chloe again, well actually talking to her made Alex feel kind of guilty. He should have well, made more of an effort for the two to stay friends. He almost felt the tiniest bit regretful he'd left her, or they'd split up. What was he thinking!? He stopped that trail of thought immediately, he couldn't regret breaking apart. That way he'd have never got together with Dakota. Shaking his head slightly, he looked up at her, "How have you been?" He asked, his voice slightly weak and nervous.

Chloe watched Alex with cautious eyes as he sat down in front of her, she didn't think for a minute he would even look in her direction anymore and he wasn't really the first person she wanted to see either, but she didn't mind the company. Maybe something good could come from this, maybe they could be on a talking level again rather than an arguring all the time level like they were so used to before they broke up. She heard him laugh a little as he mentioned her drawing, at least she knew he didn't come here to make fun of her or argue with her like he usually did, but it was always usually her that started shouting anyway. The next comment he came out with surprised her, he was actually complementing her? it was foreign to her since after the split up, maybe because they never really got a chance to talk anyway. She looked up at him with a cheeky smile. She thought it would be funny if she did 'bite his head off' as he put it, but he was used to that anyway. "Thanks" she muttered as she but her lip, she really didn't know what to say to him. There wasn't much to say any longer. She thought it a bit odd too that he was asking how she was, was he trying to start a conversation? Coming from Alex to her was news to her but she would go along with it anyway, see if it could lead to anything interesting. "Meh..." she laughed a little "I've had my good days and my bad, but doesn't everybody?" she asked "What 'bout you?" she asked, she couldn't help but admire his beautiful blue eyes that she could stare at all day. He smiled at her as she muttered a 'Thankyou' which sounded unusually shy, for Chloe anyway. His eyes followed hers, and after a while it felt rather awkward so he turned his gaze to the window overlooking the school fields, this was beginning to seem familiar. Maybe that was why he never made conversation with her anymore, it reminded him too much of the good old times. He did miss her personality, she always did seem to put a light on wherever she went, but he couldn't exactly say that now. And he didn't really want to, he couldn't.
Realising she had just spoken to him, Alex snapped out of his thoughts and ran a hand quickly through his dark brown hair, pushing his fringe away from his eyes. "Oh I'm okay..." He said, not sure how to answer the question, "Really good actually, but at the same time feeling pretty shitty" He laughed, he was feeling good because he and Dakota had been getting on really well, but the massive argument with Ryuu was still bugging him, though he never did show it.
He didn't want to mention Dakota, for some reason he had a feeling that things wouldn't go his way or something if he mentioned he had a girlfiend. But it didn't matter, because Chloe probably knew about them anyway, they did win Queen and King at the Valentines ball earlier on in the year. And Alex didn't even know what his intentions were right now. He stretched his arms out in front of him, "So found yourself a boyfriend yet?" He smirked, wondering whether he'd gone to far with this question, they hadn't of course spoken in ages.

Chloe continued to stare into his bright blue eyes but soon brought herself from her daydream, why was she staring at him? she couldn't understand, maybe she was just in a daydream kind of mood today. She watched him carefully, she wondered if he had a hidden motive about coming and talking to her. he hadn't spoken to her in ages so why come now, what did he want? She thought it was strange though that he felt good but rubbish at the same time, although she could identify with that sometimes. There were some days when she felt good about certain things in her life and others things she just wanted to shut off from herself and not think about for a long time. She was going to ask him why he was feeling the way he was when she heard him ask if she had a new boyfriend yet which made her feel a bit uneasy but she laughed mocklingly when she asked it. "Yeah right, like I want another one" she mocked as she folded her arms across her chest in a defensive way "Guys are pigs" she muttered under her breath She knew that he must be here for something, he would never talk to her otherwise, she wanted to get it out of him. "What are you here for really?" asked a bit annoyed

Mocking a shocked face Alex replied with "Not all of us are" his expression turning into smile, he put his hand to his heart, "That hurt right here" He said sulkily, as he sat back in the chair, shuffling so he was more comfortable.
When she asked him what he was really here for, he seriously didn't have any idea what to say to her. Heck, he didn't even know why he was here, he'd come here to think, but he'd instantly been distracted for some reason when he noticed Chloe over in the corner. He shrugged, trying to work out what to say to her, "Honestly..." he began, leaning forward and resting his head on his hands, "I don't really know, I mean I came here to get some quiet or whatever..."
His thoughts were mainly concentrated on Dakota at the moment, he loved her to pieces, but he didn't understand why he was so reluctant at the moment, they'd made up after there argument, but they still didn't see much of each other. "I wanted a distraction..." He then said, "...from something, I guess i came across you, I could leave you to draw if you wanted..." He said, but Alex had no intentions of leaving right now. He wasn't even sure if he was making much sense at the moment.

Chloe laughed in a girly way as Alex mocked his hurt. That was just typical Alex to be all sarcastic like that, he always joked about and that was one of the things she loved about him. But she couldn't admit that now, could she? She had made it clear to most people in the school that she didn't love like him anymore so she couldn't exactly go back on her words now, could she? The truth was that she missed Alex. She missed the fun times they had together and the hugs they shared. She smiled at the thought, she sometimes wished that they had never broken up but everybody knew thought that she didn't like him anymore because of her ways of shouting at him and how she always used to glare at him when they broke up. She knew that he had a knew girlfriend and she wanted to laugh when she heard and saw who it was, she thought Alex could do better than that. She was just glad though that she had never had a chance to talk to his new girlfriend or she might just have something to say about her and Alex together because she didn't like it one bit, was she jealous? She watched as he leaned forward and tried to explain why he was here and when she heard that he wanted a distraction she huffed a little, she thought his reason for being here would have been more in the lines of 'I wanted to see you' type of thing but no, she was just a distraction to him which annoyed her a bit. When he mentioned that he could just leave her to draw, she felt like she wanted to grab out to him and tell him to stay but she didn't and she was glad she didn't or he might get the right wrong message. "No, you can stay if you like" she smiled "I could use the company" she said happily as she unfolded her arms and placed her arms casually on the table.

Alex shot one of his winning smiles in her direction, he couldn’t tell if he was flirting with her or not, with Alex you couldn’t tell if he was just being friendly or not. He had to be honest with himself he did miss Chloe, maybe more than he should, but he couldn’t and he most definitely wouldn’t do anything about that. Not that Dakota was in the picture now, he’d hurt her once and he certainly didn’t want to mess things up… but would she even know. No. But even so, he thought, contemplating with himself, it would be on his conscience, not that it had bothered him before but still.“But I’m glad I came across you instead of someone else” He said, in reply to her huff, he could tell that’s not what she was expecting as his excuse, and he hoped he’d just recovered that. As she dropped her arms onto the table, Alex had the urge to reach out, but kept control, as he clenched his hands together in some sort of praying position. “Good” He grinned, “I was going to stay anyway…” Taking a deep breath, he looked her directly in the eyes, ignoring his sped up heartbeat, “I’ve missed talking to you actually…” He admitted, hoping that by that comment he hadn’t given out a wrong impression or something. But was it so wrong, had he meant to do it.

Chloe thought she almost blushed when Alex gave her one of his biggest smiles, she loved the way he smiled, it made him even more gorgeous than he was already. She places her elbows onto the table and placed her chin in her hands as her hands covered her cheeks, she wanted to make it look like a casual move but she really was trying to cover up her cheeks in case she was blushing, she couldn't tell if she was or not. Although her move probably looked kind of forced and un-natural. She tried to look as if she was listening and she caught that he was glad he found her and not somebody else, she looked up at him and smiled shyly as she dropped her arms from her face in hope, if she was blushing that it had gone by now. Why was was she feeling like this again? it definetly wasn't right for her, it's never her to be shy and she was glad that he decided to stay where he was, she wanted to talk to him a bit more. "yeah, I've not talked to you since...well..you know.." "...forever nearly" "What's been going on with you?" she asked casually

As she moved her arms and her head, they became much closer than they ought to be, with both of them resting on there elbows Alex had much more of an urge to lean forward and kiss her, but he had to some self control. He came here to talk to someone right? He seemed relived, but also slightly disappointed as she dropped her arms away from her face, he'd missed his chance.Come to think of it Alex really couldn't remember the real reason they had broken up, they were the old perfect couple, before him and Dakota of course. But Alex shouldn't be thinking of the past now when he had a future in front of him with a girlfriend. He loved Dakota, he just felt that he should do anything to rash, it might ruin there relationship, or either of them might not be ready for that. yeah right. Alex had the stupid idea in his head that he should get his frustration out of his system.
"Yeah I'm sorry about that..." Alex said, he had been avoiding her after they split, "We should have kept contact..." He said, his eyes locked on hers unable to move. "My life's been pretty boring recently, except for the fight with Ryuu... guess you heard about that..." He said laughing nervously. "You reckon we can hang out today?" He asked, hoping she'd say yes. "Catch up and all that" He smirked, pushing his fringe back.

Chloe felt a little frustrated as Alex apologised, what exactly was he saying sorry for? She didn't know, well....maybe the fact that he cheated on her but she was over that now, was she? Did she really believe all these stupid ideas that were going on in her head that were not Chloe like, she kept thinking about all the happy times they had and how great it would be if they got back together but that was just stupid. Whywas she thinking like that over the past couple of weeks? Was it jealousy or lust? Probably both. "Don't be sorry Alex. It's done now, right?" She asked with a sadly solemn face, she thought she was almost about to put on her puppy dog eyes but she betted against it and choose not to, why would she want to make that face at him? She knew it would show she had weakness in her but she was anything but, Chloe could stand her own ground and she wasn't scared of getting into an agruement with anybody. "and yeah..I heard about your fight.....you won, right?" she muttered Why had she just asked if he had won? Her mouth was coming out with things she thought she'd never say to him, she doughted that she would speak to him again after they split up. She knew Alex probably thought she was bitter about their break up, she was atthe beginning, but who wouldn't be? She picked up her red felt tip pen and twirled it around her fingers, she didn't know it it was through nerves or because she was excited about talking to Alex for once and it not being an argument of some sort, sure they had there hard times but they had more easy times when most things were perfect. She really wanted to reach out and kiss him like she never had before when he gave her that smirk, he was just too sexy for his own good but she had to restrain herself, she didn't like him like that anymore. "I guess ...we could hang out......no harm done, right?" she stuttered with a half smile. She really did want to hang around with him, just for a little while. She wanted to know things about him that she didn't already know. That's what she tried to herself but she knew she wanted more than that but she couldn't say anything to him, she knew he would just laugh at her and tell her to get a life or something, she knew he would tell her to move on like he had, or appear to anyway.
