"Look." Edward took his head out of his hands, staring at her. "I want to be with you, sod the other girl...I don't know what I was thinking when I split up with you." he moved towards her, his limbs not doing what his brain was telling them and he reached up and kissed her on the lips (aww). He didn't care if anyone walked in, he just wanted to be with her.
He took his lips away and stared at her, "What have I done?!" he stared at her, shocked and then to the ground.

Delaney felt like just going "AWWWWWW" when he spoke. She might have if she wasn't still in such a sever state of shock. She felt her lips meet his but as soon as it had begun, it had elso ended. She just stared at him biting her lip. "Il mio dio." She muttered under her breath. It was Italian for "oh my god" or something like that. She took a deep breath and spoke real words for the first time. "Please don't do that again, you have a girlfriend and it isn't me. I can't be responsible for ruining that for her..." |

Edward stared at her, yes he knew he shouldn't have done that. "Yeah, I'm sorry...I should go.." he muttered, standing up quickly. He didn't want anything like this to happen again, he knew that if Elana knew, she would be devistated and would most likely not speak to him again.
"I'll see you around." he said turning back to her as he started to leave quickly.

Delaney wanted to tell him not to be sorry and he shouldn't leave and she wanted to kiss him again. She just couldn't. This other girl would kill her. Delaney was big by NO means and if anyone hit her she would get hurt really badly. Somehow that wasn't what was on her mind, only Eddie was. She really missed him and she didn't want him to walk out on her. Not again at least. She moved as he got up and laid on the bench, her head hitting it with a dull thud. She closed her eyes and decided to not be scared of what could have been and see what might happen. "Well don't go... No one ever said I wanted you to leave." |

Edward turned back to see her lying on the bench, he looked down at her, stood there for a second, thinking of what to do. "I can't be around you with out wanting to kiss you, thats all. I don't want to make a fool of myself, I've done that once before." Eddie muttered, looking down at her.
"We can always meet again one day." he said turning away again, what was he to do?

Why was he being so difficult? If he really felt like that, then he would want to be around her no matter what. Well at least that's what Delaney thought. But then again, she'd never been right about what this guy was thinking before. What made her think she could start now. She scratched the back of her neck again and placed her hand behind her head, her soft, blonde hair becoming easily tangled in it. "Who said that was a bad thing. I can't be around you without wanting to either. I really miss you, I feel the same way. I just can't do all that knowing it's going to effect that other girl so much. I can't ruin her year like you used to have ruined mine. I don't want you to leave, I want you to stay. Please stay." |

Edward looked so confusing at her, he felt like he wanted to be sick, his insides were becoming all tangled and horrible. He felt so sorry for Delaney and now Elana, what should he say to her?
"I knew the thing with Elana would never work, I better tell her, I'm sure she won't mind..." he trailed off, if only it was that simple.
Sitting down on the bench he shrugged, "I suppose I'll stay, I have nothing else to do for the rest of the day." he muttered, not looking at her, oh why was he being like this? Why?

Delaney didn't like that she was confusing the boy. She wanted this to be easy but everyone knows nothing is easy in matters of the heart. That's why it's called love. If it was easy they'd call it football. She looked up at him as he sat. She missed him so much. And now he knew. And he felt the same way so why couldn't things be better. Why didn't he want to even look at her. Maybe he thought she was a slut for kissing a guy with a girlfriend. But he kissed her. And that's what she was trying to avoid. The slut reputation. God why couldn't this be easy? She scooted closer to him and removed her hand from her hair. She was still laying on the bench but now her head was in his lap. She searched around and grabbed his hand. She didn't know what to say so she didn't say anything. |

Edward looked down surprised at the action she had just made. He lent forward and kissed the top of her head. He missed her, he thought of her as the most wonderful thing on this earth, why had he gone for Elana? Was it because she was a replacement in his love life? No! he liked Elana, but not in the way that he liked Delaney, he felt he could trust Delaney, not that he couldn't trust Elana, but he could trust Delaney more.
"I really, really do love you..." he muttered, stroking her hair with his free hand and squeezing her hand in his in the other.

Delaney smiled and blushed a little as he pecked her forehead. She bit her lip and smiled up at him. She really had missed him. They hadn't spoken in far too long. You can't date someone for six months then not be friends. She always thought that part of their "relationship" was weird. Whatever it was gone now, but did this little rendezvous mean they were back together? She didn't know but she had a feeling that his next statement meant that they were. She was taken aback by this. He never told her that before. "No one's ever told me that before..." She mumbled quietly. |

Edward was glad, glad that she was happy. "Well, I'm the first, thats pretty cool!" he muttered.
He loved her, he wanted to be back together with her, he wanted to spend his whole life with her but he knew that would never happen. The latter would never happen.
He glanced at his watch and saw the time, it was nearing dinner time but who cared? "Would you like to get back together with me?" he asked her, looking down at her.

Delaney could tell something in him had changed, his eyes looked much more happy now. Not that he wasn't attractive all the time but when he was happy he always looked better to her. No wonder he always looked good when they went out. Apparently he loved her and if he did then being with her must have made him just the happiest he could be. And she loved the thought of that inside of her head. She just loved it. She smiled when he said he was the first. It made her mind go to the thought of, if this relationship between them lasted longer, he would also probably be her first... well, yeah. That. She smiled up at him and her eyes twinkled slightly. "I would enjoy that. But you have a girlfriend. And I can't let you become a twotimer. So you might need to break it off with her if this is going to work..." Delaney hated to tell him that, she wanted to say yes and ride off into the sunset but she couldn't do that to the other girl, as you well know. |

Edward nodded, "I will, when I see next I will tell her straight." he said smiling and glad that it had gone right.
Edward wanted to ride off into the sunset with her, like in the films and books, but he didn't know if he had the courage to say to Elana that he wanted to end the relantionship.

Delaney smiled. She couldn't believe this was happening right now, it was just compleatly unbelievable. She loved it, it felt like sh was flying, but she obviously wasn't. She remembered she was holding his hand and smiled. She missed that so much, she just really missed him a lot. She was happy to not have to miss him anymore. "I believe you. I'm just so happy to be back with you. I missed you so much." She smiled. |

Eddie nodded, "I'm happy to be back with you!" he said grinning, he couldn't believe it was happening, he was too in a dream world. He suddenly looked at his watch, "I have to go, for real this time." he said, looking at her, smiling and kissed the top of her head.
"I will talk to you later OK?" he said standing up carefully.
