Chase sighed slowly. A deep breath in, and a deep breath out. It was routine. Sometimes life bored him. Nothing ever exciting happened to him, ever. Besides meeting Avery, Hayley and Deidra. That was the only good thing that occurred in the last month or two. He sometimes wondered if life was worth living. It wasn’t like Chase was suicidal. I guess you could say he wanted to know the meaning of life. Like, why the hell people are on earth. And for what reason? Did humans need accomplish certain tasks? Honestly, he had no clue and it hurt his head to think about that for too long. In all sincerity, Chase missed Avery… a lot. The two nights they hung out together, we’re some of the best days of his teenage life at Watson. He wanted back the conversations they held together. Chase wasn’t sure why Avery had left abruptly. It was after the kiss. That’s all Chase could remember. Was it something he said? Or was it Avery? He could not remember at all. Pathetic? Probably.
There Chase sat alone, reading some random book he plucked off the wooden shelves. He wasn’t really reading the book anyways. Chase was just thinking. Thinking about all the thoughts a person could imagine. This is what the boy did, in his free periods. I mean, what else would this introverted boy do?

Avery had skipped classes that day. She'd been doing that a lot more lately. She didn't know why. She mainly skipped english a lot. She had that class with Chase Hill, you see. And they two had met and gone on a "date" and kissed. But then they got in a fight. And she was too scared of his reaction and feelings to ask him what the heck was up. So she tried forgetting about him. But then she saw him with another girl. It actually hurt her for some reason, she hated that feeling so she thought maybe if he avoided him. But it appeared as though she couldn't, as she plopped down right in front of him by accident in the library. She noticed that he didn't see her and she cursed under her breath. She didn't want to talk to him. She didn't want to miss him. She didn't want to care this much and it was so strange to her that she did. Strange that he made her care.

Chase tried to read the words printed onto the pages of the book, which smelled musty and made him feel like throwing up. He stood up, pushed in his chair and placed that book into an empty spot on the shelf, not the exact location of where he found it, but close enough. Chase walked back to his chair, he stopped in his tracks, in disbelief. There was Avery Parker. The girl he hadn’t seen in ages. Was it safe to go sit back down and talk? Or maybe she didn’t want to talk. But wouldn’t it be kind of jerkish if he walked away without saying anything to her?
He returned to his seat and said a simple, “Hi.” Chase was too much of a chicken to say anything else.

Avery watched him walk back from the shelf and pulled out her book before he saw her. She was in the thirteenth "chapter" of Rant : An Oral Biography Of Buster Casey by Chuck Palahniuk and she really liked the book. She thought he would just walk away. Good thing she looked really frickin good today, for some reason she wanted to make him like her. Again. She thought he would walk away and not say anything to her. She was wrong and ske knew it as she heard his voice for the first time in weeks. She couldn't help but smile. She made the smile dissapear from her face, and looked up at him, closing her book with her thumb inside of it to mark the page. She brushed her chestnut brown hair out of her face and bit the inside of her lip. Her insides fluttered, oh how farmilliar this feeling was. "Hey."

Chase bit his lip, a little too hard. He was nervous for the two had not spoken to each other in weeks. Running his hand through his brunette hair, which matched Avery’s coloring, he watched her expressions. She did not look happy nor angry. Maybe a mix of the two emotions. The boy was not quite sure. “How have you been?” He asked quietly, trying to avoid eye contact. Avery sure did make him tense and uneasy. Maybe because he liked her so much. All he wanted to do was impress her, and maybe, if he was lucky, get her to like him once again..

[super late with this post i owe you and its short. hate me as you please but ily <3 haha]
Avery noticed Chase biting his lip, he looked quite unconfortable like he didn't want to be around her. She thought for a second of saying "If you don't want to talk to me, don't let me waste your time. I'm just trying not to be the one to admit that I miss you. A lot." But she knew she would have to be stupid. "I've been... alright. What about you?" She said instead. She had a knot the size of a bagel in her stomach and she wasn't too sure why. She was probably just nervous because she was trying to hard to make him like her again and failing so badly.

Chase took a deep breath in, not exhaling until Avery talked. There was so much tension in the room. It was almost unbearable. Avery talked as if she was nervous, and a bit uncertain. 'Thank you.' He thought to him self, as she replied. "I've been better." Chase sighed, glancing over to her, trying to give her a hint. That he missed her. And wanted her back more then ever.
But then it hit him. Hayley. From the food court. At the mall. Last week. Chase liked Hayley, not as much as Avery, but close to it. Avery and Hayley were pretty similar, but Hayley was more like Chase, personality wise.
Chase shook his head, trying to erase Hayley from his mind, for now. He faked a smile, while waiting for a reply.

Avery tried to smile at him but she found it awfully hard. She hated how hard it was to be nice to him now. She wanted to really bad but something was really not clicking. Why were they being so awkward? What was going on, they used to work so well together. Maybe he didn't like her anymore. Crap, that would suck seeing as she still liked him possibly more than ever... Well she just had to let him know that she missed him. And there were only two ways to do that. Leave it to Avery to go the gutsy way... She scooted closer to him and grabbed the collar of his shirt, pulling hiom toward her and kissing him. She didn't know/maybe didn't want to know how this would end...

Chase glanced around the library, a look of uncertainty upon his face. He watched as students passed through, returning random books at the front desk. Returning his attention back to Avery, he tried to read her face. She looked vaguely confused about how he was acting. But, poor Chase was afraid to say anything. He didn’t want to make anything anymore awkward then it was already.
Nearly gasping, but catching himself in time, Chase felt Avery’s grip on his collar, as she pulled him close. He melted as her sweet lips touched his. Ah, now this was quite appealing. Enjoying himself a little too much, he continued to press his lips, and body against her’s. There was no way in hell he was letting go any time soon…

Avery's arms snaked around Chase's neck. This was the most they'd ever kissed. And she loved it. She smiled inside and her arm found its way down his back slowly, as she realized he hadn't pulled away and screamed while running away. Maybe this wouldn't end horribly... She still doubted that anything would come of this, they were both too horribly awkward if it wasn't for moments like these when they didn't need to say anything. She felt him melt a little and smiling, she deepened the kiss. This was definately the most the two of them had ever done with each other. This made half of her really nervous. And half of her was hilariously excited. She didn't want to pull away because she knew they would have to talk.

Chase nearly died, about seven and half times. This was the most Avery and him had every kissed. And did Chase ever like it… The combination of excitement, nervousness and awkwardness disappeared after the exchanging of spit. Chase was glad.
Oh, what passion the two had, as they embraced. It was more then he had ever hoped for. And the fact that it was happening in the middle of school, the library no less, made it even more passionate. And invigorating. Chase had never felt so happy in his life. He needed to pull away soon though, or the lack of oxygen to his brain could make him pass out. He unlocked their lips, and smiled. “Avery…” He whispered, “You have no idea what you do to me…”

Chase wasn't the only one dying, Avery was probably the happiest she'd been since she met him, no lie. She smiled into the kiss, the corners of her mouth curling up but not enough to notice it a lot. She'd forgotten where they were, what time it was, what day it was, what was happening; all she remembered is she was with Chase. And for her that seemed to be enough. Her hand was still on the small of his back as he pulled away and she heard his voice. She almost buckled at the knees, he made her compleatly weak. He compleatly rendered her speechless. She bit her lip, she missed the idea of them kissing already. "I probably don't... Why don't you tell me?" She tried to smirk but was still a little too shocked to.

Chase closed his eyes, and took a deep breath in. His heart was still pittering and pattering. The butterflies were still scurrying around in his stomach. His eyes opened, revealing dark brown iris’. His eyes circled around Avery’s face. She was so pretty, and everything anyone could possibly want. He chuckled as she tried to smile, as her face looked more stunned then anything. “It’s hard to explain.” Chase answered, sighing. “But I guess I can try to enlighten you…” Chase paused, running his fingers through, not his hair, but hers. “You’re just everything I could ever want. But, the thing is, I don’t know if I could ever be yours. Or if you could ever me mine. It’s complicated you see…”

Avery wanted to scream she was insanely... Well she couldnt describe it but she was happy as hell and she didnt want the feeling to go away. Not anytime soon at least. Her heart was as erratic as his, she was sure he could hear it; her stomach in knots she didn't know could be tied. She smiled for real when he laughed at her, even though she knew it was at her. She nodded as he started. She knew it would be hard to explain before he said it, the two of them had created quite the predicament to get themselves into. She held back a huge smile and shivers as he ran a hand through her hair. it looked like crap today, she now regretted not doing her hair, putting on make up or wearing something nicer. She couldn't hold back the huge smile and crazy beating heart when he said she was everything he could ever want. She didn't even hear the rest of what he said, as she flung her arms around him again and just held him. There had to be a catch, there had to be something else going on keeping them from being together... there always was.
