Apparently whatever Chase Hill said made Avery extremely happy and over joyed. The way she flung herself at him hinted on that. He smiled as he hugged her back. It was a nice feeling, knowing that someone cared for you. And as it seemed, Avery cared for Chase.. a whole lot. "Didja hear what I said?" He asked, trying to get a glimpse of her pretty face. "Does it confuse you? Or am I completely crazy?" Chase chuckled, his eyes somehow sparkling under the nasty floresent lights of the school's library. |

Avery smiled and blused a little, almost, as she could feel his arms around her. Right now, she couldn't think of anything that beat this feeling. Nothing at all... that's how good it was. Everything seemed far away and surreal at this point, she kind of liked it but she kind of wanted to know what was happening. Of course she cared for him, he was the first guy she'd cared for in a long time; hopefully he cared about her too, hopefully there wasn't anyone else he was seeing or something. "Yeah I heard you. And I already knew you were completely crazy, but I get what you mean; kind of. Unless there's something I don't know..." |

Chase's eyes brightened a bit, as Avery blushed. If that didn't make him feel great, he didn't know what would. This was unbelievable. Chase never imagined that this would happen... Sure, he had dreams that Avery & him would reunite. But he never actually thought it would ACTUALLY happen.
"Hey, I'm not that crazy." Chase whispered into her ear, "But I know I'm crazy for one pretty girl..." He grinned, while staring into her eyes. Damn, did she had nice eyes. |

Avery didn't imagine it would happen either, it made her smile to know it was happening. She missed him, she couldn't go a day without thinking about him. Not one day... She laughed a little, half sarcastic half not as he said he wasn't that crazy. Her cheekes turned an even deeper hue of red as he said he was crazy for a girl. She knew he meant her, it wasn't hard to tell. She wanted to kiss him again and she was sure she would but not right then. She smiled sheepishly at him in spite of herself, "Really? And whose that?" |

It had to be. It HAD to be true. Avery had to like Chase. She absolutely had to. It was obvious, the feelings between the two. Chase felt accomplished.. like he actually made Avery like him. That feeling made him feel very good and extremely confident.
When her cute face turned the color of a rose, Chase grinned. He knew what she was going through and he wasn't about to make fun of her for it. It was pretty cute, if you asked Chase anyways.
"Take a wild guess." Chase smirked, before leaning in and lightly kissing Avery on the lips. Mmm, did he love that sensation more then anything. |

It had to be true and it was true. Avery liked Chase. She had since she set eyes on him. Love at first sight except this girl didn't think she was capable of being in love. She didn't think she should be allowed to experience something that good. So she pushed people away when she thought she might be getting close to loving them. That's why she had invented that load of crap in Chase's dorm a while back. She didn't want to fall in love. She didn't think she deserved to be. Avery blushed more as he grinned at her. His smile always made her grow one, but this time it made her actually laugh. She laughed a little and her smile was as wide as ever. No one had made her smile as much as he had lately. Or ever probably. Well she wouldn't go that far. Not just yet. "Okay so as far as wild guesses go--" She started but was cut off by the boy's lips. Well hey, she wasn't about to complain about that!

Chase smiled, for the fifty thousandth time that minute. Something was there. Something had to be there that made Chase like Avery as much as he did. He had never felt this way before... not with anyone. Not with that little girlfriend of his back in middle school. It was strange.. this feeling. It made his heart swell up and made butterflies flutter around his stomach. Although that may not sound the least bit healthy, it made him invincible. Like he could do anything, anywhere. Chase remained sitting there, in the school's library. What a strange place to sit and eat each other's faces. Well whatever, he personally did not care. And by the looks of it, neither did Avery. "Sorry. My lips broke up your sentence." He winked at her. "But what were you going to say, darling?" |

Avery smiled at him when he pulled away from the short but sweet kiss. She smiled a lot though. Did it mean anything anymore when you smiled all the time? The answer is yes, just because you smile a lot doesn't make it mean less. It certianly does not. Avery didn't feel anything close to invincible, she felt quite the opposite. She felt exposed and vulnerable, breakable and still somehow protected. Maybe it was because she was with him, maybe it was because of something else. At the moment she didn't care enough to think about it. The lights flickered and she snapped back, realizing that they would probably be suspended by the Library Nazi for kissing in the library if they didn't either stop or leave soon. This too left her brain as Chase's voice flooded it. She grinned at him. "Nothing. Something about the tooth fairy. Um do you maybe want to go somewhere else?" |
