Holly felt really happy today, it was a beautiful day and the sun shining brightly and it wasn't so cold either. She dressed in her short yellow firly skirt with her pink tights and a pink tshirt, she loved this outift, it made her feel all summery. She fixed her makeup and brushes her long blonde hair. She walked over to Coli's crib where he lay wide awake, bright blue eyes staring back at her. He was just looking about, minding his own business and not even looking like he was going to cry which pleased Holly. She didn't like it much when he started to crying, it took him forever to stop. She picked him up and dressed him in his little jersey bottoms and a little white tshirt with a bear on the font that said 'Rawr', she thought it was really adorable.
She decided it was a perfect day to take him to the park as she gently brushes the little amount of hair he had, she oculd sit for hours and do that. she could play with him all day if he didn't have to nap all the time. She placed him in his little carry cot and poked him on the nose and she swore she almost saw him smile, but she knew he was too young yet to be able to smile properly but she loved his little face, it resembled PJ's so much, she could tell her was going to be the double of his Daddy when he was older.
As she walked down to the park she got a little side tracked when she heard the rattling of skateboards and shouting of guys from the skate park that was next to the park. She hadn't been on a skateboared in ages, not for years, she would love to take it up again one day, just for fun- it would be a laugh to see how many times she would fall. She walked into the skate park and walked up to any empty bright blue bench and placed Coli beside her on it and as she watched the skaters.

The sun was shining directly into the window, illuminating the drawn curtains with an ethereal glow, the white of the walls surrounding them lit up as light seeped through the gap. Ryuu groaned, and rolled onto his back, his arm felt dead from lying on his front. Yawning, he rubbed the tingling limb with his good hand, and then burst into a coughing fit. Glancing at his clock, he grinned sleepily when he realised it was already midday. He lay a little longer, feeling phlegm in the back of his throat, not wanting to swallow it. When the feeling had returned to his arm, he clambered out of bed and stumbled into the bathroom.
Leaning over the sink, he coughed again, feeling his lungs trying to clear themselves out. This was what he got for smoking so heavily. After a long, freezing shower - fucking girls taking up all the hot water - he went back into his room and turned on his lap top so he could play his music. Ryuu liked to think he could dance around his room gracefully when he got ready, like his brother Kailie used to, who would twirl and spin till he was dizzy, but alas Ryuu was a lot more cumbersome than his feminine little brother. Stumbling over his school bag and catching himself on the kitchenette counter, he set about making toast. Pushing his feet into his battered old shoes as he snatched up the charcoaled piece of bread and pocketing his keys as he pushed out the door with his shoulder and walked carefully down the hall towards the stairs.
Still eating his dry, very burnt toast, he clambered into his car. Turning on the ignition and pumping up the volume on the CD player, he blasted Audioslave as he drove. He didn’t know where he was going, but he’d figure it out eventually. After a while of trailing around the streets of Miami - some how getting lost a couple of times - he stopped outside the skate park. Punk boys grinding up the ramps with their skate boards and emo girls eyeing up emo boys around the edge of the park where there were many benches, biker boys on their stunt bikes and skater girls cheering them on all seemed to beckon him to the park. He loved watching the colourful bustle of life there.
Walking through the threshold of the park, he was instantly hit by the noise of wheels on concrete. If every last bit of rural land was lost, and the world became an endless city, skating and stunt biking would forever remain. It made him smile to think that. To be honest, Ryuu would be just okay - horses could evolve to run on concrete, right? A blonde head broken by a streak of hot pink caught his eye, and he turned his head from watching the activity on the ramps. Holly was sitting relaxed on a bench, Nicoli’s carry cot beside her. Grinning, he walked over casually. Sitting down next to her, he slid his hand over the back of the bench so his arm was behind her in a casual manner. He remained wordless, before turning his face to grin broadly at her, his green eyes sparkling. “Afternoon,” he said, glancing down at Nicoli and smiling.

Holly sat content, watching the skaters and all the people round about her. She was just content with herself and not the normal happy and giggly Holly that people were used to. She was upset to a certain degree, she didn't like how she had acted with Hart and Devyn yesterday and she felt she was responsible for making Hart walk away from her. She didn't know when or if He would ever want to talk to her again, she only wanted to look out for him and set him in the right direction in life, to get the best potential out of him, she knew he was worth more than Devyn and she wanted him to do better than him, somebody like him who shared the same ideas and things, not somebody who she new would pull him down into a world of drugs and she knew that Hart wouldn't say no because he was always so gullible, then what would she do? She would have nobody apart from Coli, PJ and some of her best friends, but no family because Aaron never seemed to take any interest in her, he was only there to make her feel smaller when he thought she did something wrong.
She looked down at Coli who's little legs were kicking all over the place, one of his tiny baby shoes nearly falling off. She watched as he became a bit restless, she didn't want him to start crying so she untied the thin straps that held him into his carry cot and picked him up gently as she brought him around making his tiny feet dance about on hers legs. She held him by his waist and made him look as if he were standing as she bounced him up and down as she laughed and cooed over him as his little face became even more excited, his big bright blue eyes lighting up in delight. She tried to make herself happier by playing with him but she only felt upset again as she stopped bouncing him up and down, she couldn't help but think of everything that happened yesterday and she felt awful and overly guilty than she should but she couldn't help but blame herself and she knew there was not a lot she could do about it, she didn't want to cry over it though, she had done that yesterday and even a hug from PJ, when she got back to the school, didn't even cheer her up much so she must have felt worse than she thought she did about it. She sat Coli on her knee, facing her, she held him by his side while playing about with his left arm and playing with his little tiny fingers, she then smoothed down his dark spiky hair, she loved that his hair was so much like PJ's, it suited him much more than if he were to have gotten her natural dirty blond hair. She poked him on his little button nose and wished that he would giggle or make some sort of noise but nothing, she couldn't wait until he began to talk or at least make baby noises that everybody loved.
She heard somebody walking about behind her, the leaves rustling around, making her look behind her. She saw Ryuu walking about as he approached her and she smiled a bit. At least she could talk to somebody now rather than lay in her pit of guilt about shouting at her brother. She watched him as she sat next to her on the bench and she smiled at him, an unsure smile, she didn't know if he had heard about what happened yesterday. She knew he would probably be shocked at her if he found out that she had acted like she did because it was never like her to act in that way. "Hey Ryuu" she said as happily as she could, fixing Coli on her knee so he wouldn't fall off. [/blockquote]

Ryuu watched the bustle of the park for a while, tapping his fingers on the back of the bench, his other arm coming up to rest on the back of the bench on the other side of him. A couple of boys on their stunt bikes were tearing up a ramp with alarming skill. They were only about fifteen, and they were performing hair raising stunts with no helmets or anything. Ryuu almost physically cringed at the thought of them falling off. The girls watching seemed impressed, as they arranged their hair and crossed their legs, tiny micro skirts in danger of showing their underwear. Girls like that made Ryuu feel sick. Why did they have He was comfortably reclined, and some people might even have mistaken him as Coli’s father. Now there was a scary, if not slightly bizarre thought. He turned his head to grin at Coli, whose face instantly crumpled up in distress. Ryuu had decided very early on - perhaps the first time he ever met Coli - that he was absolutely dire with children, and would defiantly fail miserably without Jared to help him when Holly decided to start leaving them with Nicoli to baby sit. That was a daunting prospect. “Holy crap…” he whined, and then realised he’d sworn in front of Coli, and smacked his hand over his mouth, looking ashamed. “Fuck, sorry,” he parted his fingers and giggled sheepishly, then realised he’d done it again, and tipped his head back, running his hand through his hair. “Man, I’m gonna suck at this,” he laughed, and looked at Holly properly. She seemed a little deflated, and his grin turned into a concerned frown.
“What’s with the long face?” he asked, slipping his arm down to rest it on her shoulder, hugging her one-armed and trying to think of a way to cheer her up. Knowing him, though, he’d probably hit a nerve in the process, so he waited to find out what was actually wrong before he started poking fun at things. Some kids on bikes raced past, and nearly went over his toes. He yelped in surprise, and flicked them off, giving them his middle finger quite prominently. Hopefully Nicoli was too young to copy him.

Holly watched as Coli became more restless as Ryuu sat next to her, he began to fuss and fidget. What was wrong with him?, did he not like Ryuu or something? She couldn't blame him though, after he nearly dropped poor Coli wen he was only a few days old, even at his age she didn't think he would forget that happening to him, who wouldn't remember being almost dropped from what seemed like a million feet in the air? "Sssshhhhh" she whispered to Coli as she stroked his dark hair again, trying to comfort him to not cry, she did find it a bit funny though that at only six weeks old he had already taken a dislike to Ryuu in some form, she couldn't blame him much but it was still funny. She picked Coli up as he started to fuss and squirm in her hands, she placed him against her chest, his little head resting on her shoulder like he was almost cowering away as she rubbed his back in comfort.
The next words that came out of Ryuu was just typical Ryuu but Holly still couldn't help but feel shocked, especially that fact that he had swore in front of her son, she couldn't help but roll her eyes, she was just glad that he was too young to understand, she was just worried that when he started to talk that he would begin to copy Ryuu and if he ever did Holly wouldn't be a happy bunny with him, she would hold him responsible for every swear word Coli produced, no matter how big or small, she knew he would probably learn them all from him anyway, she wasn't really a person to swear unless she had to or felt she had to and PJ never or rarely swore. She watched as he tried to cover what he said and ended up swearing again and she laughed a small weak laugh. "yep, you're definetly going to suck at this" she smiled a little with a playfull tone.
She felt him pull her into a one armed hug from her side as she held Coli tighter to her, he didn't want him falling from her, that woudl be the last thing she'd want to happen, she loved that with just the most simple gesture that she knew that he cared. She heard him ask what was wrong, she didn't know if she should tell him or not but they were the bestest best friends ever, she knew she could tell Ryuu anything, he even knew of things about her and things she did more than PJ or even her bothers or anybody else, she knew he hadn't told anybody, hopefully, so she knew she could trust him with anything. "Well, it's kinda complicated" she sighed "I kinda exploded at Oli yesterday, I didn't mean to....it just happened, I feel so bad about it" she said quietly as she looked up to him. "I really didn't mean to" she muttered again as she felt Coli squirm about against her. She picked him up and looked at his little face, his adorable little baby face. She noticed that distress in his face, she knew he must be hungry or something, she knew he would cry soon if he were hungry. She watched him as he kicked one of his little legs out as she held him out in front of her and she sighed, she wished she had given him to PJ for the day now, she knew she wasn't in a healthy state to look after him, at least for today. Ryuu smirked, and reached over to tousle the baby’s hair. He wasn’t surprised that the little baby didn’t like him much. A short laugh crossed his lips as he remembered nearly dropping the poor thing when he first held him. “I guess I’ll be held responsible for any brain damage he may suffer in future years,” Ryuu grinned, slipping his hand in his pocket and pulling out a packet of gum, popping one into his mouth. It was extra strong mint, and as he bit into it, he felt his tongue burn and his eyes water slightly. The sun burst through a bank of wispy clouds, and it shone strongly down on them. Checking his watch, he was surprised to see it was already nineone in the afternoon. He must have spent ages driving round Miami aimlessly when he had gotten lost.
Ryuu cringed sheepishly when Holly rolled her eyes at him. He couldn’t help swearing like a sailor. It was just how he was. “You have so much confidence in me. Thanks, you’re so supportive,” he said cynically, rolling his eyes also and looking away, watching everything going on around him. Ryuu was known to have the attention span of a fish - unless he had someone Jared to kiss, of course. He marvelled at how small Nicoli was. It was hard to imagine that after all that time, only a tiny baby had been born. Although, Coli had been born two months early, so he was only about six pounds at birth. Ryuu’s lips tightened when images flooded into his mind. Holly’s hideous wound on her shoulder, blood soaking her hair and shirt. The stitches they’d put into her skin. A few weeks later when he found her out cold in the hallway…Shuddering slightly, he pushed it all away. He knew Holly had only told him about a lot of things, and he was sworn to secrecy. It didn’t surprise him that Jay had taken advantage of her drugged up state. It was unfair, and what he wouldn’t give to give the slimy bastard a piece of his mind…That is, if he wasn’t dead. Maybe his mum would give Jay an earful in heaven - or hell, Ryuu really wasn’t sure if heaven existed - if she knew how horrid he’d been. From what Ryuu knew of his mother, she was an excitable, determined and caring woman. He bit his lip, wondering why he’d let his mind wander onto this train of thought. It tore at old wounds uncomfortably, and he bit down harder, trying to distract himself.
Waiting for her to speak, he began to rub her shoulder with his fingers in soothing circles, humming tunelessly as he popped his gum. Tapping his tune with his feet, he all but became dead to the world, gazing unseeingly ahead of him. Holly’s voice shattered his sleeping-awake state, and he turned his gaze onto her. “Eh? I’m sure it wasn’t that bad. Believe me, I’m sure what ever you did, I’ve inflicted on my brothers a million times over,” he smirked nonchalantly, remembering the time he’d pushed Irja down the wide oak stairs that was the centrepiece of their ‘château’ to keep him quiet about his crack addiction. He remembered the time Kailie had caught him sneaking into the house with a blooded knife, and he’d brandished the knife under the ten year old’s nose and threatened to cut up the youngster’s pet hamster if he told anyone. Ryuu was not a nice child. “What did he do?” Ryuu asked abruptly, his face blank from the memories flooding his mind.

Holly watched as Ryuu reached over to tousle the little amount of hair Coli had, she thought it was really cute as he fidgited under Ryuu hand, like he was trying to brush him off with the look on his face. The look on his face was the exact same as hers when people tried to ruffle her hair, she loved to see all the little things, not matter how big or small, that he had gotten from her and PJ, the little parts to his personality were already showing through and he just seemed more grown up, every day, in Holly's eyes.
She looked towards Ryuu as he said that he would hold himself responsible for what Coli said in the future and she smiled slightly but when he mentioned brain damage she looked at him in a sarcastic shocked fashion. "Brain damage?" she asked playfully "I hope you're not planning to brain damage my son anytime soon" she laughed as she held him to her as tight as she could as if she would never let him go again. "I don't think PJ would be too hapy with you either" she laughed as she rubbed his back again, trying to remind herself that she was till holding him. She smiled when he said that 'she was so supportive' and she giggled a little. "Of course I'm so supportive, it's what I'm best at" she said quickly with a cheeky wink. She looked at him with concern as he bit his lip, he looked like he was some sort of pain or something, emotional pain, she didn't know what but she knew she'd be there for him no matter what, big or small. She wanted to reach out and hug him but she was kind of busy with a squirming baby against her, a determined stubborn little baby that resembled her own stubborness so much. She knew she could hold him forever and she would never ever let him go, he was the best thing that ever happened to her, even if her little brother wished he never had him, she knew he didn't mean it, or did he? she didn't know, she couldn't tell because she had never heard him saying anything like that to her before.
She pulled Coli gently from her as he became a bit quieter, she knew he was probably getting tired from all the fussing and squirming. She placed him into his little blue carry cot that was just the perfect size for him and she replaced the straps so that he wouldn't fall out. She was happy that he would go to sleep now, she hoped, as she leaned down a kissed him on the forehead and poked him on his little button nose. She turned back to Ryuu and she felt him rub her shoulder in comfort, she loved how he was so caring and that the smallest things he did added to her love for him. She looked over at Coli again and smiled as he began to drift to sleep, so she thought. She leaned her head against his shoulder as he explained that it must not have been as bad as what he did to his brothers. She looked up at him and smiled a shy smile. "What didn't he do" she sighed."I've never heard him talk to me like he did. He told me that he wished I never had Coli and that I basically wasn't his sister anymore, that he didn't want me as his best friend anymore. He just started shouting at me, just because I was looking out for him" she muttered as fast as she could for fear that she would cry about it." I mean, if you were me, wouldn't you pull him away from Devyn if you could?" she asked sadly. She wished she could take the things back that she said or what she had done to make Hart hate her so much, she thought she was worth a lot more to him than Devyn. "Anyway, what you thinkn' about?" she asked softly. [/blockquote]
