Adam sighed, thinking of home just made it worse. He thrust himself backwards into the sand, letting his body fall limp. He let his eyes close, trying not to think of his father. He felt a pain in his head, where he'd been struck in the head with a metal rod by his father, the drunk.
"Damn bastard." he muttered vulgarly. He smiled to himself, thinking of his sister's who'd be scolding him for his language right now, if they were there. But they weren't and he was free to do whatever he felt like.
He sat back up bitterly, and stared ahead at the ocean. "Figures...not much diference from home." he muttered.

Hayley walked down down the beach; her head filled with thoughts of the past few days. She had met Chase, and then she met Will the next day. She had kinda liked Chase; but she had pretty much fallen head over heels for Will.
Frowning slightly, she looked down at the outfit she had chose to wear. A pair of black Bermuda shorts covered her legs, and a 'To Write Love on Her Arms' shirt covered the top half. On her feet were the only colorful things; a pair of bright blue flats.
Her sidekick was in her back pocket, probably about to fall out. She brought her hand to her back pocket, making sure her phone was safely stuck in her pocket, and sure enough; it was falling out. She took it out and saw she had a missed call from her mom. Eh. She hit the 'end' key to get out of her missed calls list and placed her phone back in her pocket.
She glanced quickly over at the water and felt herself stumble over something. Great. The one time she looked over at the water she stumbled over something. She looked down to see what it was and realized it was a person. "Oh.. Ooops."

Adam looked up, in his own shy way. He glared at the person who'd just ran into him, but his face became normal again when he realized it was just a girl, and not Max who'd tripped over him. He looked back to the ocean, he sighed softly then spoke.
"Sorry, thats my fault for sitting this far out on the beach." he muttered, standing up reluctantly. He looked down at her and gave a friendly smile. "And that was rude of me to say that." he said, finaly catching himself, knowing that his words would sting, they already stung him.
"I'm not too good with people, I guess thats what you get with being smashed in the head by a metal rod." he said with a grin. This was weird to him, he never rambled on like this, he figured he was just nervous. Meeting new people wasn't his thing.

She shrugged at him. "It's cool. I tend to trip a lot." She smiled softly at him. He seemed to be really shy, like he really didn't wnt to talk to anyone. She wasn't going to try very hard to make conversation, since she got the vibe he didn't want to talk.
She raised one eyebrow at him when he said he got hit with a metal rod. "Oh.. wow?" She wasn't exactly sure to say to him; she had never gone through anything like that.

"Yeah, wow that my father would go that far to teach me a lesson." he said lightening up a bit. "I'm Adam Alliure." he said bowing slightly. Bowing was the proper form of greeting in his country, so it sort of stuck with him. He still followed proper customs and didn't break any laws though he wouldn't in Japan.
He smiled shyly now, talking to girls wasn't too good for him either.
