Personality: Avery is a very mellow person. She can stay inside all alone or go out with a few friends. Her favorite places to be would be the beach, the woods, the mountains, or basically anywhere outside. Nothing makes her happier than fresh, clean air. She loves to hike, bike ride, river raft and anything that is outside. She loves the enviroment and the earth so much that she has devoted much of her time to saving it. From using fluorescent light bulbs, to recycling, to biking around rather than using a car she is all about the earth she lives in.
On the flipside, she can also get dressed up and go out for dinner. And when she isn't outside she's definitely not studying. School isn't her best friend but she does well enough to get by. She loves cooking and got that from her mother. She grew up in the kitchen with her mother and has always just loved it. She also loves to paint. She picked this up in elementary school and has loved it ever since the paintbrush was put in her hand.
Background: Her parents got married young, straight out of high school and had wanted a child since the moment they got married. So two years later they had Avery. Avery was a very giggly, happy baby. She would prove to always be like that. She lived and grew up in a small town in Maine and loved it there. She went to the big cities a few times and just never took to them as much as she started taking to the outdoors with all her little friends, who were boys. Her dad, of course, loved this. He had wanted a son but to him, Avery was the next best thing. But her mom had wanted a girly girl who she could shop with and do nails with.
In elementary school and beyond, Avery showed a big interest in the outdoors still, but also cooking with her mother and painting. Her family and friends could not for the life of them understand where she got the painting passion from, because none of them ever had. But she took to it like a fish to water and by the time she was 13 she was competing in art shows all across the state.
When she entered the 8th grade her parents started talking to her about a boarding school. In Florida. At first she didn't take to the idea so well but they took a trip there and she loved the warm beaches and sunny weather so much that she was packing as soon as she got home. She has been at Watson Academy since her freshman year.
