Personality: With so much experience in almost every area of the fine arts, you might expect Addie to be stuck up around other students also studying the fine arts, but Addie isn't like that. Addie is gracious and giving and caring and talented. She had to spend much of her time around other girls in an all girl school, and in ballet lessons, so she is very used to being around girls and gets along with them very well. She has never before been to a school with boys in it, and a non-music school. She sometimes might get a little confused, but for the most part she is used to the boys being around now. The downside of the girls school is that she never had a school dance, and she was never asked on a date and she was never kissed. She's very awkward around boys and sometimes stumbles over words.
Addie has been into music since before she can remember and it's basically her life. It makes her really mad when she hears someone down-talking a music teacher or saying how much better than someone else they are. She would like to think that everyone could get along and not be like that to one another, but that's another thing about Addie. She's very idealistic. Her ideas are most of the time easier said than done, and sometimes people just don't seem to get it. She comes off as aloof because she thinks a lot and keeps to herself a bit, but she isn't stupid. She gets everything, sometimes just in a way that other people don't understand.
Background: On an unseasonably cool day in April of 1991, Kenny and Jamie Donavan welcomed a beautiful, healthy baby girl into the world. They named her Addison, after a friend of theirs. Jamie Donavan had been born and raised in a small farm town in Illinois, and she had always hated it. As soon as she turned 18 she decided to follow her dream and go to Julliard, and study music. There she met Kenny Donavan, a dancer who also had a passion for music. They hit it off instantly and were married in their junior years of college. They graduated and had their daughter the following year.
Since both were very well versed in all types of music and dance, it was only natural that their child would love it too. They had started her in dance classes from the time she could walk, and singing classes from the time she could speak. She excelled in singing and did well in dance as well. She appeared to be best in Classical Russian Ballet, and French Classical Ballet. By the time she had turned five, they had enrolled her in piano, and viola lessons, on top of three dance classes and singing lessons. She kept up with all this amazingly well and was a piano prodigy. By the time she was ten, she had written her own piano pieces and preformed them for everyone she knew. She loved to be in front of people.
When she entered middle school, she went to an all girls musical school. She got along very well with the other students and continued to do well in voice and piano. She stopped playing the viola and cut down her dancing to only one class per week. She began to focus on piano and voice, as she sang in school choirs and played for many events. She heard about a boarding school in Florida in her 8th grade year and decided that it would be a good change. It took a couple years to convice her parents, but they enrolled her at Watson Academy in her junior year.
