Personality:
Cy has always been a little bit different to everyone else. He doesn’t keep things to himself, and always tells the uncompromised truth. If you know you won’t like what you’re going to be told, don’t ask him because there’s no filter between his mind and his mouth. He hates being called Simon, it sounds too forced and formal. The songs that Cy writes are usually about sex, drugs and the whole rock & roll life style. His ambition is to be a rock star, and he doesn’t ever want to settle for anything less. A stubborn kid, Cy won’t leave you alone till he gets the whole answer, no matter how pissed off you get with him. He’s a joker, and likes to make people laugh, and hates awkward silences, always having to fill them with a crude joke or funny story. Cy is a total flirt, and likes to charm the ladies. He’s straight as a pole, but is in now way a homophobe. The only thing he doesn’t like is binge drinkers/druggies. He doesn’t see the point in wasting money like that, and he has a pretty logical fear of them dying on him. He doesn’t tend to get touchy about many subjects, and forgets that other people do, and can push things too far sometimes. He loves to have a good time, and is always the life of the party. He hates seeing friends upset, and will do anything in his power to cheer them up. In his quiet time he listens to music, and writes lyrics, and sometimes reads books.
Background:
Simon Kahn was born into a family with two children already. He was the youngest of the family till he started school, when his mother had a fourth child. Growing up in Brooklyn, Cy became street wise very fast, and knew his way around like he knew the back of his hand. The first music Cy listened to was very way out, and he enjoyed many obscure bands hardly any of his friends liked. Although Cy was very different to his friends in fashion and music taste, he was quite popular and had a large group of friends. He started singing lesions at 8, when he expressed an interest in lyrics and singing. His teacher hated his voice, and told him he was a terrible singer. This hurt Cy’s ego badly, and he stopped singing for at least a year. However, he didn’t stop writing lyrics. He acquired his first tattoo at thirteen, when his father finally gave in to his constant pestering. When he was 15 he was sent to Miami to join Watsons, and he’s enjoyed it greatly ever since he first set foot in the door.
