-Jared has a secret of his own, though. He's racist, particularly against Latinos and African Americans. This originated from his parents, his father more specifically, as the two both grew up in a town where just about every white person was racist. Growing up himself, Jared always overheard his parents making racial comments and his father would even warn him to watch out for the "niggers" from time to time. Jared knows quite well that this is wrong, but he just can't get the thoughts out of his head. He's careful not to share them, though, after the time he slipped up in elementary school. Because of this, his days of being racist are slowly, very slowly, coming to and end.
-Now other than the fact that he’s always there in the background observing your every move, waiting for the moment you make him upset so that he can spill out secrets like a broken dam does water, Jared is a sweetie pie. If someone was having a bad day, chances are Jared would be all over them trying to cheer them up.
-Many claim that Jared is hilarious, and if not hilarious, then he's very funny. He knows how to make a person laugh, and a lot of the time he's not even doing it on purpose.
-A good bit of this constant hilarity comes from Jared's habit of being a very ecstatic guy. He can be quite a crazy, oddball of a fellow.
-Jared is very musical. Even if you barely know Jared, you would know this. In class, Jared can’t help but to hum, tap his pencil, bang on his desk, or to maybe even sing out loud. His musical episodes can turn out to be quite comical and enjoyable, however.
-Last but not least, one should know that Jared also gets in moods when he’s a total man-whore and will have the urge sleep with anything that moves (metaphorically, of course. He does not sleep with things such as cats or leaves blowing in the wind.). Yes, yes; he is bisexual.
Jared gets in these “moods” once every two months, sometimes once a month. Watch your back after school. Aside from the fact that it’s most of his initials, this trait of Jared’s is where he got his nickname “Jump” from, if you know what I mean.[/ul]
Background:
-“Jared Miles Platt...!” his mother gasped as she opened the door to see Jared making out with someone of the same sex.
For about a month, neither John nor Linda Platt spoke to Jared. Then, at dinner time one evening, they gave Jared the news that they were sending him to Miami, Florida to go to school. “We respect your decisions, but we just don’t want to have to see them.”
-So off Jared went, his parents staying behind in the city that never sleeps with hopes that Jared will graduate from Watson Academy and start a new life down in Florida or someplace else. They didn’t care anymore.[/ul]
