Delilah took her messenger bag and walked from her dorm room, to the lunch room, and out to the courtyard. It was sunny out, perfect for reading. She sat down on the nearest bench she could find outside, and took out her book from her bag. She was reading 'The Golden Compass'. She'd been interested in the books since she was younger.
She opened her book, and tried to start reading her book, but it was too nice out. Even though it was the middle of winter, and should be cold, it wasn't. Probably because she was in florida. Delilah leaned back on the bench, closing her book. It was rather quiet out. She could hear the faint sound of a basketball dribbling. Delilah sighed, and put her book back in her bag. She pulled her legs up onto the bench, and hugged her knees.
{I'm sorry, i just got so distracted, its not very good.;

Tyler flipped through the endless amount of channels on his television, up in his dorm. "ESPN, Disney Channel.." He sighed, looking through the list of shows. Nothing seemed to interest the easily bored seventeen year old. "I guess I'll just take a walk.." He told himself, while standing up to stretch. The boy was still in his pajamas, even though it was a little past noon.
Tyler made his way to his closet, where he picked out a green tee and a regular pair of denim jeans. He threw on his outfit, while managing to fix his brunette hair with only his tanned fingers. Looking at his reflection in the mirror, Ty was satisfied.
Without a thought, Tyler grabbed his mobile device and ran down the stairs. He made his way past the cafe, and into the courtyard. It was pretty sunny out, he probably should had grabbed his sunglasses. Too late now.
In the distance, he saw Delilah. It had been a while since he had spoke with her. "Hey Delilah, babe." Tyler yelled, and walked up to her. "Nice day, isn't it?"

Her chin resting on her knees now, she picked up her head, to see Tyler walking toward her. Delilah tilted her head to the side, slightly, just enough for her to see him. She was rather sidetracked, there was a bird that had caught her eye for a few moments. After a short pause between him talking to her, she finally answered. "Hey Tyler," Her cheer slowly returning to her voice.
"It's lovely out." She smiled at him, then looked around once more. These days were the best, where you could just sit outside by yourself, or even with a friend, and be completely content. The perfect days. Like nothing could kill your mood. Like you were high, and felt like it would never wear off. "What brings you out here?" She asked curiously. She was surprised she was actually out there. If she was a normal teenager, she would be using that time to get high, or drunk. Not read, or attempt to.

It had been ages since Tyler had last seen Delilah. Which was kind of sad, because he really liked hanging around with her. She was a really fun person, after you got to know her.
"Yeah, it is lovely out." Ty replied, agreeing with Delilah. The sun was shining, and you could smell the ocean salt water from the school. Ocean water was Tyler's all time favorite smell ever.
"Actually, nothing was on T.V. So I came out here for a little walk." Tyler told her, quite honestly. "What are you doing out here?" He asked, taking a seat next to the girl.
ooc; wrong account, sorry!

She laughed softly, "You and your television." Delilah wasn't a big fan of television these days, she was more into movies. The story lines were usually more interesting. "I haven't seen you in what seems life forever." She over exaggerated a frown, "Don't have any time for me anymore? I see how it is." She joked, her frown broke out into a bright smile. She put her legs back on the ground, and crossed one leg over the other.
"I actually came out here to read," Delilah looked down at her bag, then back up to Tyler, "But I got distracted." She shrugged lightly. "Besides, its too nice out to read." It really was way to nice out to read. She blinked slowly, looking up at the sky. The sun made her eyes water slightly. "What have you been up to lately?"

"Hey, it can be the only friend you have sometimes." Tyler laughed, running his hand through his hair which was the color of dirt. "Just kidding, I know I'll always have you as a friend." He winked, grinning.
"Ew, who reads?" Ty asked, disgusted. "Just kidding, Delilah" He smiled at her and listened to her next question. "Nothing really. That's kind of sad, on my part." He told her, shaking his head back and forth. "How about you?" Tyler asked politely.

"Thats right," She scolded him jokingly, "Stop choosing yout television over me! I am not a dog." She was always good at making things seem dramatic. "Hey, atleast I can read." She had a devious grin on her face. Queen of elementary school comebacks. "I haven't actually been up to a lot lately." She frowned momentarily, "Just well, reading, and sometimes meeting new people." Delilah liked meeting new people.

"A dog?" Tyler asked, laughing like mad. "Oh yes, because I totally put you on a leash and walk you around. But hey, that wouldn't be too terrible." He grinned. "Hey, I can read..." Ty replied, shaking his head at Delilah's wonderful comebacks.
"That's sounds like fun. I haven't really met anyone new lately." Tyler told her, looking up at the bright sun, but straight back down because it kind of hurt his eyes, considering he was too stupid to grab his sunglasses up in his dorm.

"You will not treat me like a dog, Tyler!" She let out a few short giggles, "Ew, I wouldn't want to be on a leash if I were a dog," Delilah was actually thinking about being a dog, wow. "I would want to run free. Like... a wolf, or a fox." She nodded her head, "Wait, I think foxes are cats." Delilah wore a puzzled look on her face for a few moments, "Never mind, their dogs."
"And sure you can read sweetie, keep telling yourself that." She put her hand on his shoulder. Delilah laughed lightly, and took her hand away, placing it back in her lap. "I guess you just have to go to the right places to meet new people. You know, mingle?" She shrugged once more.

"Okay, okay. Fine, I would let you off the leash, only if you promised to stay by my side." Tyler told her, smiling. "Oh yeah, cats are definitely foxes." He said, mocking Delilah. "Foxes are foxes. End of story, dear." Ty laughed, patting Delilah on the back.
"Yeah, my mommy just bought me all those Leap-start games for reading!" Tyler gushed, like he was a five year old boy. "I'm sooo excited." He nodded quickly.
"Mhmmm, I need to mingle soon. My life is boring me." He laughed.

She shook her head, "Never, I'd run away, all the time." She said in a matter-of-fact-ey tone. "Yep, and I'd make you put up missing cat flyers. And the government would yell at you for owning a fox." Delilah smiled at Tyler, "And thats how Tyler went to jail." What a good story teller, she should think of starting a career in story telling.
"Im so excited for you!" She laughed, "Maybe I'll teach you the alphabet, if you behave." If he didn't behave, she would have to send him to his room, and tell his mother he wasn't cooperating. "Yes, you do, mingling is fun, really." She wasn't lying, it really was. "See, this thing we're doing right now?" She motioned her hand to Tyler, and back to herself, "This is mingling." She joked, "You'll get used to humanity again... eventually."

"I would love to go to jail for that exact reason." Tyler told the girl, while chuckling. "The guys at prison would be like 'Yo dude, whatchu in here for? I killed an old woman last night with a paperclip.' And I could reply with, 'Yeah.. I accused a fox of being a dog. Or actually I forget because this screwed up Delilah girl made me forget'." Ty said, reciting a little story he had made up inside his own head.
"The ABC's, oh joy, I can't possibly wait." He said, gasping.
"I like mingling. It's even funner when you're single." Tyler grinned, winking at Delilah.

"I don't even know what to say to that," She said, still smiling, "Except, I'm not screwed up, take it back!" Delilah shouted, making a fake scene. "It's more fun to mingle when your single," It even rhymed, "See, it rhymes, it must be fun." What a weird conversation; foxes, abc's, mingling. What the hell? "Though, I really do have to agree with you on that one." There's nothing like sneaking into a bar, and meeting new people who thought you were older than you were. You get drinks, friends, and well, you get the picture. "Single mingling is the best." Delilah nodded her head.
