Late morning in Miami was the best time to walk the streets. It wasn’t too quiet, yet there were just enough people for you to really feel you were in a big city. The sun was burning high in the cloudless sky, and the white pavements reflected the heat right back into your face. Cy, a young student of Watson’s Academy, walked down the street jauntily, his headphones pumping out music. His open shirt showed off his many tattoos, the word CHAOS was prominent on his abdomen, and plenty of symbols decorated him all over. The short sleeves showed off more tattoos on his arms, and the sinewy muscles that gave him a toned look. Pushing his hair out of his eyes, and his old-school headphones down round his neck, he turned into the mall, a faint smile on his face. Hands in pockets, he drifted through the cavernous space, glancing in shop windows and imagining himself in the clothes wistfully. A severe lack of money meant his little fashion fantasies couldn’t become reality. Cy had always had a strange interest in fashion. He loved to wear outrageous clothing, and often wore things together that other people would never dream of mixing. He found a thrift store, and, looking around wearily, went inside.
The shop smelt of old granny, and Cy kept his head low so his blonde tinted, chestnut hair fell in his face. Finding a couple of pairs of ripped up, grass stained jeans and a leather jacket with a broken zip, he paid and left. It was all he could afford really, busted up thrift. He headed for the fabric store to buy a new zip for his jacket. Cy wasn’t the most amazing sewer, but he could cope. He bought a few too many zips, to make it a little more exciting, before he went to find a coffee place.
Sitting in the food court with a complimentary news paper and a polystyrene cup of watery coffee, Cy peered over the pages at the crowd, watching life move by. His feet were up on the table, one crossed over the other, and he got a pen out of his pocket and started filling in the sudoku in the paper, trying to kill his boredom.

Jamie had just gotten out of her favorite store, Hollister. She liked shopping, but she wouldn't call it her favorite past time. Realizing she was hungry, she walked towards the food court. Her hazel eyes scanned over the many choices of places that she could eat. Jamie wasn't a picky eater, she figured as long as it tastes good, its good enough for her.
She walked over to this small italian part that sold pizza, spaghetti, and Lassagna of any kind. After she said what she wanted, she paid for it and went to find a seat. Looking around she noticed someone she'd seen a couple times, but never talked too. Jamie was a shy person, but the guy looked bored. Jamie walked over to him. "May I sit here?" she asked him quietly.
OOC: okay thats total crap I am sorry..

Cy took a sip of the coffee, which was going cold now, and smiled at the girl walking over. He swept her body with his eyes, unimpressed, and lowered his eyes to the sudoku again. “Hum…Sure,” he replied, his slightly rough voice grating on the air. He lowered his feet back to the floor, and glanced down at himself. His shirt was wide open, hanging off one shoulder, and his jeans were scuffed and ripped. Greasy, dark chestnut hair was in his face, in all, he looked like a total tramp. “What’s yer name? I think I’ve seen you before,” he asked, eyes still fixed on the paper.

Jamie smiled as she was told she could sit there. Sitting down she looked at him. Obviously she wasn't helping the guy look unbored, well it was either that or he didn't want to talk to her. Jamie wasn't sure which one though. "I am Jamie." she said. "You are?" she asked him.

He grinned; maybe a little shameless flirting would occupy him till he decided it was late enough to go back to school. “Jamie? A pretty name for a pretty girl,” his voice was like velvet sand paper. He glanced sideways at her, a lopsided smirk on his face. Running a hand through his hair, he folded the paper in half so it wasn’t so in the way, still fixed on the sudoku. Cy got like that sometimes, his attention could be on one thing, even if he looked like he was doing another. In this case, he was just playing the indifferent hot guy. Chics digged that, right? Hot guys who pretended they didn’t care about anything were always being swooned over. Cy cared; he just liked to appear indifferent to make people curious of him. Sometimes it backfired on him and people avoided him, but he noticed that girls liked him a lot. Unfortunately, this made his ego rather more inflated than it was probably healthy to be. He cleared his throat, and took another few sips of his coffee, the earthy smell filling his senses and lining his nose with the soft feeling sent.

Jamie blushed slightly as his comment. "Thanks for the comment, but its going to be harder then that to impress me. I might be shy, but I am hard to impress." she said. She watched as he stared at the newspaper in his hand. "May I ask what you are doing? I mean it seems you've been staring at the same spot on that newpaper for a long time." she said. "Anything interesting?" she asked him. Jamie wanted to slap herself, she usually wasn't like this at all. She was quiet and always let the guy think he was impressing her. Why she wasn't now, was beyond her.

Cy grinned, pencilling in a couple of numbers. He wasn’t very good at sudoku, but it kept him occupied. “Sudoku. You know you really shouldn’t let a guy know when you’re playing hard to get. It turns them off. I’m Cy, by the way,” his casual tone suited his all round personality very well. If only he could find some joke in the chasms of his mind that wasn’t rude, or patronizing. His eyes wandered past the paper for a moment, following the path of a group of girls who looked like Hot Topic had exploded on them. Quickly snapping his gaze back to the paper, he nudged his shopping back nonchalantly under his chair with one foot. Sliding his foot back to a more comfortable, reclining position, he glanced down and his eyes narrowed. He’d smeared mud all over the floor.

"Who said I was playing?" Jamie asked. "Sudoku that does seem interesting. I used to be good at those." she said. Jamie noticed him look over and turned to see a group of girls walk by. She didn't have a problem with black, its just they wore too much of it. She then turned her attention back to him and smiled.

Cy laughed, his eyes sparkled an amusement. Sitting up, he coughed slightly and wiped his eye with his shirt sleeve. “Damn you,” he chuckled, “Very funny. I ain’t gonna put myself out, so stop worrying your pretty little head,” he smirked, putting down the sudoku - he wasn’t sure if it was helping or just making him more bored. Sipping the last of his coffee, he made a face in disgust as he got a mouthful of un-dissolved granules. No wonder it was so watery. “So…What are you up to? In the mall by yourself. Waiting for someone?” he asked, winking slightly. He hadn’t stopped grinning, the lopsided expression plastered on his face.

Jamie just looked at him for a moment before answering his question. "No actually I am just walking around. Thinking I might come across something I'd actually use." she said. "What about you?" Jamie asked. "Most guys I know aren't up for the mall. " Jamie leaned across the table a bit to talk to him. She sometimes did it out of habit.
