Hayley had been sitting in her dorm for the past few days.. doing nothing but that little.. well.. big sleepover thing a few days ago, but she had left early. Things had gotten a little too crazy for her taste. Now, she was sitting on a swing in the park, doing nothing. For the past hour she had been watching some little kids chasing a dog. The little kids and their puppy had left about 10 minutes ago, so once again, she had nothing to do. She climbed off the swing and turned in the way of the lake. She started to walk towards it, being careful not to trip on anything or run into any little kids. That would not be a good situation. Once she reached the lake, she sat down on one of the benches, her legs tucked under her tiny body.
OOC:// Eeek. Horrible start, but it's a start.

Hayley smiled quickly at him, saying a quick "Hello," before picking up a rock and rolling it around in her hand. Now she wished she would have brought something to do. It was times like these when she wished she had remembered to get her camera from her dad. But oh well, what could you do right?
She tossed the small rock into the lake, the little 'plop' sound and the ripples amusing her for a moment. Once all the ripples were gone, she picked up another rock. This one was bigger and more jagged. Ick. She didn't want to hurt any fish. She threw it back to the ground and found another small one. She threw it into the water. The ripples didn't last as long as the last one. She crinkled her nose in disappointment.

He asked, shutting the notebook and sitting in down in his lap. He had never found the intrest in skipping rocks, but he had always liked watching other people attempt it... some of which only succeeded to chunk a rock into the water with a loud splash.[/ul]

Hayley looked up, kind of surprised when he talked to her. "It was all pointy and stuff. It might have hurt a fish. And that little fish never did anything to me." She nodded, with certainty. A lot of people found some of the things she did weird, but she really didn't care. That was their problem.
She looked at his face for the first time that day and realized she had seen him around school. She couldn't exactly place her finger on where she had seen him at school, but she had seen him.

"I'm Hayley by the way." She watched him open his notebook and tried to look at it. She couldn't even see if there was anything written on the pages. "What's that?" She pointed to the notebook.

He replied before glancing back down at his notebook. Looking at it, one could tell that it was almost new. It was in pretty decent condition, and hardly any of the pages were used. All his other ones were worn out and full of lyrics and what not. "Oh! this is notebook" He smirked, laughing lightly "no, umm its what I write all my lyrics down in. I write and play my own music" He added, Glancign down at the paper. One side was blank and the other had about a fourth of the page covered in words.[/ul]

She repeated his name in her head, matching it to his face so she wouldn't forget it.
"Notebook? Is that it's name?" She always named everything she had. She grinned and said "Really? I wish I could write music. But I'll stick with my photography and artsy stuff." She smiled at him and turned back to the lake, watching the ducks swim.

He smirked and shook his head "No.. It doesn't have a name.. I guess you could name it if you wanted too" He shrugged, holding up the pad and tapping it with a pen "whats a good name for it?" He asked. He was Good at music. It was about the only thing he was good at, a skill he aquired from his father. He had Done plenty of gigs, had run the DJ stand at Sierra, and was working on his own band. "i'm no good at Art... or photography"[/ul]

"Oh. Really? Brutal." She put her finger to her mouth, acting like she was thinking of a name. "You could name it.. Rainbow." When she said 'rainbow' she changed her voice so it sounded all hippie like and whatnot. She made a rainbow with her hands like on that one episode of Spongebob with the box and imaaaginaaation.
"I can only wish I was good in anything besides Photography and Art." She rolled her eyes. "The only class I'm even close to passing is my art class."

He asked with a smile, scribbling down the word raindbow on the front cover. His book was named rainbow, but the inside was opposite, he doubted that anything on the pages was near rainbow like. Art. Poor nate couldn't be artistic to save his life. There was his downfall, art. Any other subject, he had done fine in, but art was a different story. His teacher didn't have a profound appreciation for stick figures like she had for Van Gough. He guessed it was just her personal prefference. "Art and I never got along... " He said with a smirk.[/ul]

"Well, you could tell them that you met this totally awesome art girl and the park and then she named your notebook rainbow." She flashed a quick smile at him. "Wonderful story, right?"
Hayley laughed and said "Did you get in a fight with it? Did the big bad art beat up poor Nate?" Hah. That'd be funny. She laughed slightly as she thought about a piece of art beating a kid up. That'd be quite amusing.

He laughed and closed the pad of paper once more, Sitting it down on the ground and looking back at Haley with a nod. "Oh yeah.. Van Gogh kicked my ass. There was no contest. He jumped me from behind." He added, giving a pouty lip "Poor nate didn't have an eraser on his pencil to defend himself with." He exclaimed, leanign back slightly.[/ul]
