"DON'T GRAB MY HAND, I LIKE YOU."
Chase nearly fell over, with all the force the girl had used to scream that. Several mall shoppers looked at the two, causing him to be quite embarrassed. His face turned an even brighter red when a male mall patrol man came near Avery's side.
"Excuse me, sir." The man in the blue uniform said, "But why were you touching her. She obviously didn't want you touching her by that little outburt." The man said, crossing his arms. "You obviously didn't hear the last part." Chase mumbled, but not loud enough for the officer to hear. "I suggest you leave the mall now." The patrol man told him. "It's for the better of Miami, don't you think."
This scene caused Chase to roll his eyes at both Avery and the officer, and walk away. "Thanks a whole lot, Avery. Forget about the dance." He yelled, walking faster to the doors, heading to the parking lot.
Could you tell the boy hated attention?

Avery fought down a smile with all she had in her when he blushed. He was mad but it was stil cute. She couldn't laugh though, he'd hate her. Then the officer walked up. Haha too late for 'he'd hate her', it was time for 'he hates her'. Shit. She had never meant for this to happen. Avery thought of interrupting the officer with a 'YES! I DO WANT HIM TOUCHING ME. AND A LOT MORE THAN MY HAND.' but decided it was really innapropriate. Instead she just stood and watched Chase leave, and yell at her. Damn. This was not good, not at all. She turned to the police officer. "Thanks a lot, buddy. Fcuk you." She hissed at him, starting to jog toward the doors at the end of it. She reached them and adjusted to the sun in her eyes. She looked around and spotted Chase. She ran toward him. He was going to walk away, but not if she could help it. Not this time. She grabbed his shoulders, making him face her. "Listen to me. I'm not going to forget the dance and I'm not going to forget you because I like you and I just suck at telling you. Okay?" She said, staring him in the eyes. She meant it, and she wasn't acting like an idiot this time. She wasn't about to lose him. She'd worked too hard...

The officer stood with Avery, flabbergasted. "That's not the way you talk to your elders, missy!" He yelled at Avery, while she ran off to chase Chase.
As she grabbed his shoulders, Chase jerked around. "You have an odd way of showing that emotion." He told her, and quickly turned around and started to walk towards his car. Right now he was just being plain stubborn, he wasn't really mad at Avery as much as before.

Chase heard what she had to say, and not quite given the reply she had expected. Well, no. Lie, she didn't know what to expect. She almost expected this. He started to walk away and she ran up in front of him, making him stop. "Well I'm sorry! I'm sorry I'm just some pathetic little girl who won't leave you alone! Okay? But if you haven't noticed, I don't really like people often! I have no idea to say it! Espically to someone who doesn't like me at all and is way out of my leauge!" She started out trying to yell at him, and just ended sounddiscouraged and defeated. Heck, maybe she was. She certianly hoped not, she didn't want to let this go. She blinked, the calm before the storm...

"I'm sorry too." Chase said, avoiding eye contact with Avery. "I'm sorry that I'm not used to getting hit on at the local smoothie stand, and I'm sorry that girl's dont throw themselves in front of me in the middle of a mall parking lot. And I'm sorry that pretty girls don't usually scream there 'love' for me while walking down the way at a crowded mall." He paused, waiting for her expression.
"And I really do want to go to the dance with you, really." Chase replied, quietly.

Avery listened to him babble, her heart swelling with each word. He thought she was pretty... wait what?! NO WAY. no. way. no way no way no way! She was close to freaking, but decided that he was like a squirrel. She had already scared him away once, if she did it again he wouldn't come back... She knew it. She kept a straight face and sighed defeatedly. "Well, I'm sorry I don't want to go as just your friend." She thought she could smile but she was physically incapable of turning the corners of her mouth upward right now and she didn't know why...

Oh man, did Chase screw up. As it looked, Avery was just about ready to strangle him, or anything moving at the moment. He was scared of what she would do, if he said the wrong thing.
"Would it hurt you if I said I think you're exteremly cute?" Chase asked, tilting his eye to the left.
ooc; gotta go

And in reality, Avery wasn't mad at all. She was ecstatic and the only way she would strangle him was in a hug. She smiled, getting up on tiptoe and leaning closer to him. She placed an innocent kiss on his cheek, getting off her toes and just looking up at him, her face alight with a smile. She was really happy, and now able to show it accuratly. "No, I don't think it would..." She flipped her bangs out of her eyes and just smiled at him. She wasn't mad at all, how could you be mad at him?

Chase grinned widely, as Avery obviously was over-joyed. He nearly died as the girl kissed him sweetly on the cheek. "I'm glad you're not mad.." He laughed, running his hand through his hair, a nervous habit. "And I do you think you're pretty cute." He smiled, looking the girl straight in the eye. "For only knowing you, for like, fourty five minutes." He chuckled, his smile still wide on his face.
"I really hope that Valentine's dance is still on, because I regret what I said." He told her, looking down the ground nervously.

ooc; boo i dont feel like playing out the dance. i'd make one of my charries stab someone or something x.x i'm so pissy right now over the whole valentines load of sh!t.
Avery's smile stayed plastered on her face, showing how she truly did feel. She felt like putitng on some really loud rock music, like The Pretender by Foo Fighters and jumping on her bed and screaming along and being generally happy. Because that's how she usually "celebrated" her happiness... great way to, actually. Who doesn't love singing along at the top of their lungs? And who doesn't love Taylor Hawkins and Dave Grohl. Seriously. Anyway, she couldn't sense his happiness, he was probably hiding it like she was trying and failing to. She but her lip and looked at him like she was about to melt from happiness as he called her cute again. "Well, why do you think I walked up to you? Jeeeesus, you're good looking." She chuckled, watching him ruffle his hair, being all nervous and cute. AAAAAAAAHHHHH. This was NOT happening to her. She was about to explode of happiness. He looked her in the eyes and she realized how amazing his eyes were. Wow... She laughed. "C'mon, it's got to have been longer than that. And as for the valentines dance," She paused, her hand gently unger his chin, lift his head so his eyes met hers. "I would much rather just hang around with just you, other people tend to ruin stuff like this. Dances are too much trouble... We could watch movies and eat ice cream or something. That's more fun than getting dressed up to just stand around awkwardly in the gym, seriously." She smiled at him, her hand falling to her side.

Chase laughed, as he remembered when Avery first approached him. "Honestly, I thought it was all a big joke on me. I thought your friends were across the way, laughing like crazy." He told her, smiling shyly. It was true too. Chase really did think that she was playing some mean trick on him.
"That sounds about ten thousand times better." Chase told her, loving Avery's idea instantly. "And I don't feel like buying a suit or whatever anyways." He chuckled, his eyes gleaming in the sunshine.

Avery chuckled as Chase recalled her walking up. She wasn't that type of person. Plus, what friends. "Naah, I don't play around like that. It's mean." Avery smiled as Chase agreed with her idea, laughing again at the suit comment. Ew suits. She would have worn a dress but not a super dressy one, and no heels. She's the kind of person who things a guy looks better in just jeans and whatever. She smiled at him "Then movies it is. But no chick flicks, we're watching an actual good movie." Avery was also the kind of person who would rather watch Talladega Nights or Transformers than like 27 Dresses. Which would be good since she was watching the movie with a guy... (:

"Okay, good. I'm glad you're not that kind of girl." He smiled, putting his arm around Avery and drawing her close. "Because I really do hate those sluts." Chase said, quite harshly. But again, it was the truth.
"Movies it is." Chase said, agreeing with Avery. He looked down at her and smiled. This was turning out to be a very wonderful day.

Avery smiled bigger than ever when Chase pulled her closer to him. At his comment she broke into uncontrolable laughter, her hand over her mouth almost doubling over in laughter. She managed to stop, melting as he smiled at her. How could she have landed someone so perfect. "What movie? I could go for something really funny or something action-y. But I'll watch whatever you want."

Chase was quite happy when he made Avery laugh, that it even made him laugh along with her. "You have a cute laugh." He told her, still laughing because Avery was laughing.
"I am not picking. You are picking." Chase told her, recovering from the laughing spree the two had just had.
